Anonymous, 09 Feb 2022Maybe it will under cut the transaction It allows the iPhone to act like a cash till and thus accept payments from customers in a shop or any business that accepts payments. I must admit I'm not quite sure why anyone would really want to do this.
I have a friend who accepts contactless payments with a nfc device for a fee, he has an iphone if the service is free he may use it instead

Big Tech dont care about your privacy/security,they are only concerned about making money.
They will sell every bit of your data just to make good money out of it.No matter how much Apple boast about privacy/Security/Safety but in the end they are just corporate predators surviving only to make money.
Apple is also well known to monitor its user's data & behavior and sell this data.
So please don't make yourself belive that Your data/Privacy is safe with Big Tech & not with Govt.
Both are wrong in their places but atleast a Democratic Govt is still answerable to people of its nation but Big Tech....They answer to noone & care for noone.

UPI has been a game changer especially for the daily/small time businesses. Even hawkers use it let alone people with shops, redis, etc.
And as you mentioned you can transfer money to anyone, anywhere within seconds without being physically there!

Folks in most territories on the planet, especially Asia, defer to government authority. It's a cultural thing.
As such, while a Chinese, Indian, or Indonesian doesn't even register how a centralized database can be abused because that's par for the course in their millennia-old civilizations. In America, and many parts of the West, it would cause major political ruckus.
