Some Pixel 6 and 6 Pro users are reporting that their Wi-Fi  shuts off by itself after the February update

08 February 2022
The issue can also affect Bluetooth, which gets shut off after the user turns Wi-Fi back on.

Nexus 5 the best software experience with only 2300mAh and a terrible camera. Pixel 2 and 3 were kind of okay with purposely low bytes. And that's pretty much it of acceptable hardware from Google

looks like Tensor is to blame, fix it! $400 is right place for the price and the Pro is $600.

I’ve paid out my own money to see if a phone from a notoriously bad hardware manufacturer is actually faulty, if it isn’t I’ve been lucky, if it is I’m stuck with it because Google’s hardware support is abysmal.
      I think I’ll pass thanks.

Manchito, 09 Feb 2022I must be lucky cause my Pixel 6 has no bugs after every up... moreIt's rare to find a device where all units have the exact same issue. The infamous LG boot loop issue did not affect every unit. Congrats on winning the lottery of a Pixel without bugs.

That said, it's difficult to lose a sour reputation in tech. For instance, I favor the Mozilla browser on PC, but many still use resource-hugging Chrome and complain about it; because Mozilla used to have a poor reputation.

It'll literally take at least 2 generations of Pixel devices with zero bugs for its reputation to be repaired.

Bloody hell, such a troublesome phone 🤦🏻‍♂️

Anonymous, 08 Feb 2022After seeing this issues surfacing again and again it looks... moreUsing Android 12 since November as custom ROM on my Poco X2/Redmi K30 and I haven't had any of the Google Pixel bugs.

I must be lucky cause my Pixel 6 has no bugs after every update. The funny thing that there are few persons with this problem and here we have the same trolls as always saying how bad Pixel is, without having one. First buy it, update it and after that you can complain or cry about how bad it is.

Wow, Google. Wow. Solve problems with updates but also create newer ones! Just saw TechOdyssey (Adam Matlock) and he's talking about it.

Never again. I'll stick to Samsung and Motorola. It's not like they're perfect. No OEM is. They're all greatly flawed so loyalty and fanyboyism for any of them is a waste of time. But Google hasn't been good since 2017-2018.

Not a good bug to have. I know I use wifi and Bluetooth at the same time to stream Spotify to my Bluetooth dac/amp. But no problems with my Redmi, lol.

I bet you that when wifi is on the hardware turns off bt. both wifi and bt use the same antennas and tranceivers, they're unified, so the chip has to deal with wifi and bt interaction properly. Most do and i've zero issue with my samsung phone either, but I assume it's not an easy problem.

You'd think that having both software and hardware developed in-house, together, would prevent these issues. Heck, any bug with such an arrangement is inexcusable. And if there is a bug, full expectation is it be resolved in hours, not through a monthly update (and not to make it worse to boot). Take a look at the TeamPixel subreddit for the cluster of a mess Google is in with not just the 6, but all the way from 3 (bricking / planned obsolescence).

Google's app updates have been getting pretty bad as well. Their own Camera app is on 3.2 stars (and remember the camera is what is supposed to set the Pixels apart), Dialler and Messages are pretty dismal too.
