Their contribution for wearos already paved the way.

Samsungs ui and stability is best in the class and they are the only ones in android market worthy of giving apple some competition.

Samsung Cap $600 Billion but have quite similar revenue with Google $1.8 billion Company $232 billion vs $257 billion , Google has lost all innovation

As is my Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. Other android oem are able to release software with skins with almost no issues yet google can't get this right. Also apple has had its fair share of problems.

Anonymous, 08 Feb 2022Major android verison should be released once in 2-3 years.... moreIt just a number really... Doesn't make any difference. They could go major subversions like 4.0 ICS, 4.3 JB and 4.4KK - when it has issues, it has issues.

Oh man. I was so close on buying one. Than I look at my Chromebook, unable to even to pause an update, had 3 major buggy releases two of which resulted in resetting the Chromebook, and auto brightness issue since ChromeOS 91... It shipped with 89 and 90... Two major release that work. I filed in the bug report 8 times. Now, I just adjust the brightness manually when the auto adjust stops.

Don't get me wrong, I'm actually happy with my Chromebook. But on a ARM device that under total control for so many generations that still fails vs a brand new SoC that they have 0 experience. I'm glad the poor availability of Pixel 6 had me decide not to go for one. I dodged a good bullet there. Let hope the next custom Google chip will do better.

I'm pretty sure most of these issues are due to minor differences in components on the Tensor SoC.
Till the Pixel 5, they relied on Qualcomm & issues were mostly performance related. Now, they've got their custom design - but different batches of P6/P6Ps probably have components from different manufacturers with the chip shortage & everything (that invalidates whatever happened in the Validation & Testing phases).

If it is Samsung behind most of the SoC production, they really screwed Google over!

Yet none of them, NONE of them has so many software issues as Google has. Which makes no sense. Hell, Google is the creator of the Android operating system for god sake. Yet they can't seem to make simple WiFi and BT toggles bug free. How hard can it be?

Google can't get vanilla Android right on a few devices, while Samsung and others have got it working with custom skins and quickly resolved bugs.

It's so funny that Google, a multibillion software company can't get their software s**t together. If they were a bakery or a clothing brand I'd even understand, but I don't understand this at all...

Android users have lots of different brands to choose, some better then others... Like some Android brand have less bugs vs Apple... But hey its a phone, nothing really important.
Sometimes Apple making trouble and sometimes one (one) Android brand making problems.

Somtimes Volvo have problems and somtimes Ford does and sometimes you and i having/making problems.... Part of life right 😜
