Lol you? sales numbers and revenue for companies like Samsung are public knowledge because they are publicly traded companies and these stats are vetted by various private sector analysts. Unless you have proof that they are lying (the burden of proof is on you) then shut-it. Just grow up and accept that you don't know what you are talking about.

Do you live in a country with a large population?
UK POP IS 71 MILLION we don't think this way.
When the ps3 came out 100,000 units were sold (1st wave) to the UK
may of them had issues with powering on this was on the news.

If by 2024 average price would be 1000 dollars it would mean there would be mid range foldables for 600-700 dollars.
I think foldable&rollable will be future of smartphones: most people want biggest screen which they can fit in their pocket.
I have og galaxy fold and just waiting for big screen foldable/rollable for around 1000 euros. With Samsung giving great software support i am not in hurry(got android 12 last month and there will be security updates at least for 2023 september).

When foldables first appeared a few years ago, I was hoping that by this time, there will be already foldable midrangers :( but the prices have been dropping really slowly.

Once you reach a certain amount you reach critical mass and then even fractions of a percent deals with millions of people. Fundamentals of statistical analysis.

Shipments does not mean sales. This just means the amount that will be shipped out to retailers. The sold amount will still depend on customer purchases, which could be much lower than this amount, and most probably will...

I would never buy Z Fold 3... moreThe aspect ratio is the killer for me. If the whole larger screen it produced was useable it'd be something I'd consider. But something where much of the screen area isn't useable defeats the purpose of a larger display.
Not sure how to solve it for a foldable device because to get 9:16 ratio on the foldout screen it'd have to be close to 9:32 before, which is also useless.
The rollout style phones perhaps could solve this better: If the 9:16 device display pulls out so the vertical 16 becomes the new vertical 9 on the new aspect ratio it would be highly useable form factor.
