Well how about no...
The reason I use Xiaomi since 5 years is the insane price / specs ratio.
Now with 1200 Euro - it costs as much as Iphone (and I'm also not buying that either).
But if someone should pay 1200 euro - iPhone is the better choice.
In all cases - it's inexplainable to me how can android phones become as expensive as the iPhone - and this comes from an iPhone hater like me.
It was always overpriced, and now Androids are also.

The prices seem pretty competitive. BTW Xiaomi's Flagship's and some mid-range phone's don't have ads at all.

I think this is BS, but in the end you never know. Could be real price as well. But then i say goodbye Xiaomi.
In few months price in China might drop and here in EU will be 1200 EUR for PRO? Thats what i call smart move, but on the other hand is foolish move. Ppl like Xiaomi, especially because it is hard to get Vivo, Oppo etc., but at this price will be really hard to sell this phones. For that price many will take Samsung 22 Ultra.

OMG, am really like xiaomi phones, but that is overpriced Globaly prices, there is not so much what price say about it, is to much specialy just 12 or 12x model.

You'll have lots of people (rightfully) pointing out how these products are crap at that price point -- if they are not careful, they'll just go from "expensive crap" to "cheaper crap", but crap nonetheless.
Xiaomi's main business always came from the value proposition (with a few exceptions here and there, such as the Mix series). These are clearly a value products at a steep price, with obvious compromises here and there that would be livable at the right price. Pricing is of the essence, a low price can turn these series into FANTASTIC phones, but a steep price may also make them crap. Right now they are in the latter territory.

I have old Redmi Note 8(older than A51) that still gets updates

With this strategy they have captured alot of attention.

900€ for 8GB or RAM. Hmmm, it looks like Apple has no choice in front of so powerful proposal from Xiaomi on market and will defeat immediately 🤣🤣🤣

Has it ever occured to you that no phones on the market right can cool off the 888 soc? 870 seems to be the sweet spot in terms of speed, efficiency and thermals. S21 is also known to have bad battery. Sure... Spend more for Samsung but it's literally a downgrade. Paying the same price for the 12x is much more worth it. The only down side to it being the non wireless charging but fast charging on wire is so much better imo

Xi... moreExcept Apple can pull things like this because they actually offer premium devices with premium long term software support. Not Xiaomi with their luckluster software support and for last few years very underwhelming performance despite using same components as everyone else. They released Mi11 Ultra and now they think they can just charge absurd prices for their stuff. Makes no sense.
