My Note 20 Ultra has fallen from motorcycle mounting twice at around 30mph, been dropped more times than a hooker's pants on Saturday night and only evidence is a tiny scratch on the inactive very edge of the curved part. All thanks to a Spigen Tough Armour case that cost around £15/$20.. If you buy an expensive phone, or even a cheap one, just use a case. I'm not really sure iPhone stand up much better to being thrown on the floor. It's a pointless exercise in stupidity. Protect your shit and choose whichever handset you like, they're all good. I've seen plenty of all brands of phone break when dropped. Rarely seen someone with a case do anything but pick up their phone and say thank fk I bought a case!

It ended up looking like all of my wife's phones. I am super tired of fragile Samsung premium phones. It's the A series for me from here on. Flat screens and non-glass shells are easier to protect, and if the worst happens I don't need to take out a second mortgage to fix them or buy a new one.

Normal for the screen to get damaged because of the edge design but the camera cracking only after 1 drop attempt was embarassing.

They should really go ahead and fix the design problem in the S23 Ultra, though - if they end up adding a 200MP camera next time, you obviously wouldn't want to get that or it's lens damaged.
The main 108MP camera though is the MIDDLE one of the main three, and that appears to be mostly fine.
Then again, I ain't gonna stop you from switching to iPhone, it is your decision and not mine, after all.

In defence of facts, as far as I know there is only "super clear" glass on the 108MP sensor, the middle large one. The one that didn't break.
