We're getting closer and closer to the Apple's Bionic perfomance and that's the more reason why I'm excited to see the one made by TSMC (SD Gen 1+). Also Mediatek finally got their things sorted out and rise back like a phoenix, truly impressive.

SOMAYU, 22 Feb 2022I'm inclined to agree, but again I'd wait for act... moreThat is why I'm waiting for the overclocked SD 8+ Gen 1 since it will be fabricated by TSMC.

Looks interesting, but I'll wait for the X80 Pro+ with SD 8 Gen 1.

I would definitely buy this , if it came with 16gb or 18gb Ram. Like my S21ultra 512gb 16gb Ram.

I don't trust Mediatek, they're always cheating the benchmarks.
Remember when they were running the apps in "Sports Mode" by white listing those apps? Most snapdragon SOCs outperform similar mediatek SOCs, even though Mediatek scores are higher.

Rodolf, 22 Feb 2022That's because SD 8g1 is on inferior Samsung node. As ... moreI'm inclined to agree, but again I'd wait for actual phone reviews.

On the Samsung node thing, I recently did some reading on the snap 780 and 778. Man, those 2 chips have very similar headline specs, but the battery performance is very different between 2 phones of the same chassis (mi 11 lite 5g vs mi 11 lite 5g NE). 3DMark stress tests also place the 778 at about 95% stability, while the 780 is at 85-90%. Makes you wonder if Samsung turns electrons into heat on purpose.

In and around snap 865 power consumption I think is a fairly good place to be. Gotta wait on the reviews on the 9000 equipped phones tho before pulling the trigger on them.

I'm not trying to pull your leg, I really want to know. I'm considering getting another android, and I'm watiting on the performance/stability/battery life of dimensity 9000 phones before making a decision.

Looks like my next cpu. I want a flagship with low watt/instruction consumption.

Even if SD8G1 was 5% faster or 10% cheaper I'd still choose the lower power consuming D9000, if those power numbers are right.

                    (I don't play games.)

The D9000 also has massive system cache just cashe in general way way more than the 8 genq something Qualcomm has been giving out as scraps from generations

Cache is super important for efficiency not just nm process

But not only because of that, I'd get D9000 just for its added features like AV1, newer LPDDR5X, newer Bluetooth 5.3 which all are missing on SD 8g1.

The only advantage for SD 8g1 is mmWave which no country use it except united states.
