I don't care what you believe or not. At this point every phone brand is garbage to me. I stuck with Samsung since it was the least crap, or so I thought.

But I'm not on anyone's side, if there is any such problem, the truth will come out soon. PS.: if you want to increase your credibility, don't ever use anonymous account. Use an account with history. Anonymous accounts are almost exclusively used by paid trolls (or losers who don't want anyone to see it's their hobby to talk trash about specific brands).

This isn't consumers looking for trouble, this is Samsung slowing phones down. I am sure they do this in waves to different phones with an algorithm and not everyone is affected at the same time, just like they roll out updates in waves. Strategic planned obsolescence is what it is, especially useful now with all the competition.

But I doubt there will be another diesel gate, I really don't think that is the case and you simply see what you want to see in this. The S22 has the same thing (the game optimizing service), so did my Note 20 Ultra since day one. Its performance didn't change a bit. Same with my old Note 9, it's the same champ like before except in games - but those games did become more graphically intensive. But if there is the slightest doubt, the courts will decide, everyone in the US will jump on the opportunity to milk some money out of this - if there is anything to be milked.

This is not how any other electronic device / computer works. It can have 200 cpu cores for all I care, if they are not loaded to 100%, it makes no sense to even half the performance.

This is not intelligent throttling or power management. This is straight up fraud. They usually do this after 1 to 2 years to their phones. Those SoC have safety measures and sensors which they use with their own logic.

At least samsung gives you options. You can set the thermal thottling differently in their Good guardians app. Just by 2°C but that's not bad at all for a smartphone. You can also change the setting for killing apps in background to free up RAM in there. This was a regular complaint of people since the S6 where they introduced it but they did it because most regular people don't close apps and just go to homescreen from them so their RAM filled up quickly, but in good guardians you can allow for apps to not restart from background and just run there. Samsung does these default settings for a reason and that reason is normal, non-tech friendly people who don't really know how to handle a phone. It's like when you give a gun to a person who doesn't know how to handle it, it's safer for the gun to not be loaded (okay, that's an overkill example, but you get it). Apple doesn't even give you options, they just force it on you. I don't have a problem with samsung providing default settings that is good for most people as long as us tech-friendly people have an option to change it, which we do.

How about we focus on disadvantages of these approaches:-
                      1. Extra data and battery consumed almost all the time, I've had errors on my LG G8x about apps consuming data even though not opened in 1 month.
                      2. Games not getting enough RAM, this actually is the point Samsung tried to make. I've had enough experience on both PC and Android to assert that it matters.
                      3. Android 10 has a complicated process of task killing. Clearing recent apps doesn't close them. Basically the user is not even given enough power to have his system his way.

I agree Chinese makers may adopt a better approach presently, but unchanged Android is not the most ideal either. Why not give user the choice? And older versions of MIUI did give user this choice, which was great.

The point of having RAM is that it's used as much as possible. If it's just app sitting there, then so be it. Memory management pushes out oldest open apps when more RAM is needed. Also not all open apps are actually in memory. Some might be paged to storage space. It's certainly better than nonsense most Chinese phone makers do which is deploying aggressive task killers that can't be turned off which constantly kill apps the moment you turn off phone's display. I can't express how annoying that was which is why I'm avoiding Chinese phones. Huawei and Xiaomi both had this.
