Update has bricked my 1ii, the screen is just flashing on and off with nothing showing apart from battery percentage, time at the top and the back arrow on the bottom. Had it sitting next to my keyboard on my desk more than enough battery to do the install (70ish%)
Now to find the frimware to flash it.

I've got a 5ii just updated to 12. I dont like it compared to 11. First impressions, the drop down shortcuts from the top of screen have changed for the worse. To tuen wifi on or off is now more pop ups and screen presses. Closing apps by pressing the bottom right square button and swiping apps up is not as fluid as before. The icons in top right e.g. network battery and percentage are not quite in the corner, but shifted left away from corner. Lower button long press puts options in centre of screen, which is prob the only good change rather rhan at rhe top. Can't comment on battery life yet, but visually and functionally i prefer and will prob reflash 11.

Battery improved?? Guys am I Dreaming?? My battery life seems to have improved with Android 12 Update but i'll observe it for a couple more days just to be sure. Noticed battery didn't drain overnight as much as before.

Those who had the update for couple of days already, how is it? Im a bit terrified of updating mine because quite frankly I find Sony's take on the OS literally the worst of all phones I've ever had (they must hate their software engineers big time), and am a bit worried that they flushed out the A12 unfinished just because they kinda said they would do it.

Hi everyone,
Having Xperia 5 II I was wondering if Sony has managed to include in the Android 12 update their Side Sense slider and the possibility of using the home screen and the drawer in the horizontal position as in Android 11 (very useful while keeping the phone mounted to a stand) ?
Thank you and take care those who encounter the update issues.

Ive just received A12 update for my Xperia 5ii, lost network coverage and glitches on the main screen when restarting it, it final settles but then half the wallpaper would glitch and notifications would also glitch. It's settled now but have a feeling this issue could be still there.

Updated my 1ii, smooth as butter, but the haptics feel a little weaker and the interface isn't that nice compared to A11.

i still have to wait for my 1 ii...
though i have trust issues reading about "issues" here... ha ha... if that makes sense...
have to visit reddit from time to time...
though at an xperia fb group, somebody is using an 1 iii without issues...
but skeptical as it seems, i still have to wait a little longer, besides i want the last update on my 1 ii worry free before upgrading... i still want my 1 ii be working as good as it is now if not better before i get the 1iv or 1v... as i am still expecting a year of monthly updates on my 1ii

Color schemes are for pixels only (up to March I think, when it will be rolled out for other manufacturers). That's on Google's side...

Since the update(yesterday in the morning),my phone has crashed 2 times. I submitted my response to Xperia customer service and I am waiting for an answer. The first time I could not get it to boot for half an hour, and was forced to use the Forced restart. Second time also used it,and after that submitted the problem to them.I strongly advise not to update the phone, since 11 is much better than 12.
