    I hate to admit this...but Apple M1 is the gold standard for mobile processors for tablet, ultra notebook and even compact desktop.. because of the performance & good thermal with less power required.

            :DDDD yeah it beats everything 3090 and i9 12900k, yes in Apple dream world. Lets be frank here. In no way this garbage m1 uktra will beat 3090 and 12900k in any serious computing loads, its just not possible. So no kids don't go and buy Apple crap, but just watch some independent reviews and start living in reality. M1 Max did awful in any computing task which did not require some kind of video editing from first party. So yeah you can imagine M1 Ultra will do same.

                    What is this naming-idiocy nowadays? Samsung Ultra, Xiaomi Ultra, Apple Silicon Ultra? What's next, Super Duper Ultra Extreme?...

                      What for?

                        Such good hardware limited by garbage macOS. I know these macbooks are mainly for content creators but the fact that I can't even download Genshin Impact (and many AAA games) from the app store is so annoying. Like it's already on IOS! But just because it will cost Apple they decide to ignore AAA games as most of their revenue comes from garbage mobile games in the form of microtransactions.

                        Also either the M1 or OS seems really unoptimized, constant lag and stuttering when using the playback tool on premiere pro (could just be adobe tho). But until macOS gets a total overhaul the macbook air M1 will be my last macbook I will ever buy.

                          Cool, now make stuff run on it.

No one is interested in seeing any of that here. If you want to see those you'll have to wait for proper reviews where they spend 40 minutes just dissecting performance in great details.

                                  eh i dont know about defeating a 3090. m1 sure is an impressive piece of tech, but not with its limitations - it being derived off a14. if maybe it gets derived from a16 or went on its own separate way, i wont doubt how powerful it could really be.

                                        Instead of those graphs, Apple could have fire up Adobe Photoshop/premier, work up the heaviest filters and en/decoding 4k/8k videos, and show us the time comparisons to AMD/INTEL. M1Ultra sounds kicass, BUT, it's the computing experience that's really matters on every workflow, and since Apple chooses not to present those data, I'll wait to judge.
