Samsung is pulling a tyr... moreThey did give consumer choice though. Before this update there was setting in battery or you could manually disable Gos, not straightforward in some phones but it was possible.
And with sd 8 Gen 1 trust me you need that Gos, otherwise prepare your body to live with 60C hot phone.

GOS is good. When we play games we need all the existing power. And when gaming we need nothing else. NOTHING! Is all about power. And Samsung give it to us. So good and clever. And usable. Dont cry people just enjoy the power.

The screen is less bright too.
Otherwise the same but smaller and easier to use one handed.
I agree though would be good if gsm would do their battery endurance test for comparison.

My main concern (as with any compact) would be the battery, IMO they could've just made it a mm thicker & kept last years 4,000 mAh battery, you could also see any genuine feedback from S22 users in the comments.

They should do the same with Bixby and Facebook app. I don't need those apps I don´t want them on my smartphone. Once I've blocked all Bixby apps related, the battery improved a lot. It seems that was actived to listen 24/24.

Never even noticed mine was being throttled... Honestly kinda happy about this since I can now choose between running games at lower performance for better battery life (AFK grinding) or switch to high gear (actually playing the game myself). I can't think of any other phone that offers this feature off the top of my head?

Again it only proved S series got update and A series and M series will be lucky if they get 1 android update and 2 years of security patches along with 1-2 UI upgrades

I saw a comment that someone tested the A52s and it was also throttled when running GOS. Imagine a midranger with half the performance, does it get any worse? I'm gonna look for alternatives in the future.

To match battery endurance of Full HD screen when using QHD, only if samsung downclock all cores to 1,5GHz at most.
Screen is the main "villain".
