When i had the 10ii i got the security patches after a month.
With the 5ii the same.
I got the 1iii for my wife and she also gets the updates on time but then i bought the pro-i for myself and I'm very disappointed in the updates.
I'm still at the January patch (got it this month) for a €1800,- phone this is pretty bad.
I'd understand if they don't give an os update as fast just to make sure there aren't any problems but security updates are important.

Year 2 = monthly for flagship, quaterly for midranges
Year 3 = quaterly flagship, every 4 months for rest
Year 4 = every 4 months flagship, every 6 months other
Year 5 = every 6 months flagship, one update for other.
Do you really think phone super cheap like A13 would get monthly patches for 4 years?

Anyways, recieved my android 12 update on my 5II.
All in all, I do not recommend updating to 12. Its worse than 11.

A few days ago (11 Mar. 2022) I received the Android 12 update on my Xperia 1 ii (58.2.A.0.899). Everything work fine since then.

Nothing can be more useless.
With android 5 , I already had audio equalizer, restart, silent cam shutter, screen colour tuning, landscape mode for home screen, screen recording with audio, answering machine for calls, intelligent rotation (keep portrait orientation when you lie down on bed following your face, does not rotate if rotation is turned on).
Stock android is ridiculous. Itnis always at least 6 years behind the other skins.
Only geeks like for unknown reason.
