If this is really the case then Apple should just keep the notch for another year. Making it even smaller will be better.
I don't support the notch but it's still better than the pill shaped punch hole.

It's not like you get more screen to experience with it. Also in games and video you need to cut off that edge with the notch or holes just cause it can take away valuable information and that especially for games.
And are you not the salty one in there who hate people with opinion and then offend them by titling them as fandroids ? I dont blindly buy something just cause it's a brand name. I use up to 250 euro phones that are new in the market and i use them minimum 3 years. I am not missing out on anything on how i use the phone so what will be the point to pay 3-4 times the price for a phone that just have that brand name and flagship hardware while even up to 25 euro phones hardware is already so good that i dont even use 10% of it

Also this pill is for all the sensors that were in these notches all the time. At least punch hole for camera have a point as to cut a hole in the screen but for sensors just to cut hole is dumb. Just have that 3-5mm bezel at top so it wont waste the screen with holes and it makes no sense to lose notch when you have holes instead as around these holes the screen will still be useless. It's like the rbg lights on everything that is just for bling purpose and on phones just to drain more battery for the bling purpose.

When someone brought up the fact that Face ID could be used with a mask, I would've brought up the fact that the Galaxy S3 had Iris scanning. But of course, an Apple fanboy would've brought up security despite Face ID not being foolproof itself. So I skipped the pointless arguing and went straight to the security issue.

This design is very awkward😌😌😌😌. But I kinda like it(better than dat notch) it is new in the eyes never seen a phone with both punch hole nd pill cutout at d same time.but they should not sleep on this desighn.
And would it make more information in the status bar eg. Battery percentage or is just gonna be there for Apple to look different

First y'all complained about the notch and now when they're finally getting rid of it, it's a problem? God, you people can never be satisfied.
If they make the pill small, it will be good enough. If they make it big like the notch then it's a no for me.
Honestly, it doesn't look that bad. Maybe they'll finally put % beside the battery.

Not to mention one can harvest your fingerprint from anywhere. Since most fingerprint scanners are optical, they can be fooled by a simple high resolution fingeprint scan/print. Harder to fool are Samsung's ultrasonic fingerprint scanners which scans the actual depth of fingerprint ridges. You'd have to print a fingerprint with actual depth there.
Getting 3D scan of the face is about as difficult as getting a depth scan of a fingerprint. You wear it everywhere, but you don't leave it around like a fingerprint...

If you have to enter a username/password, a person who has your phone can't get into your account by simply pointing your phone to your face. But you said that Face ID signs you in automatically without asking your interaction. If that's true, it's extremely insecure. You seems to know nothing about security.

Also robber don't need to go website and that wouldn't even work like you now think. Wouldn't it just be easier for robber to open the bank app and log in. Like i said, if you are in that situation you pretty much screwed with face scanner or fingerprint, robber don't care. Also don't know how the bank sites and apps work in your country because robber couldn't do any harm in my bank app with only face scan. You need extra app and use pin code to every money transaction, except if you send money to your other own account

He only needs to open a website and points your phone to your face and then get away. The thing is, it's very insecure if someone picks up your phone and can sign in to any website by pointing your phone to your face. And as I said, it's very weird to automatically sign in without your consent. It's normal that when you visit a website, you may just want to browse and don't want to sign in.

Also, a lot of websites have a "remember me" option, so you can stay signed in if you want. Signing you in without asking you isn't a good thing. It's very insecure. If you get robbed, for example, the attacker can visit a banking website and point your phone at your face to sign in?
