If you needed stability then you should have used a stable ROM rather than a Nightly build. The latter are supposed to be bad. It is like using beta software.

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2022557 USD for a base model in the Philippines. This is bull lol. Well , the cost to design ,development, manufacturing , support , and delivery is the same to every unit built , so the cost to their consumers is pretty darn close to everyone , even if one lives in the Philippines

Lee 8V88, 18 Mar 2022What I'm unclear on is why the EU market has different... moreApple pays very, very little tax on EU sales (read up on their tax avoidance schemes). And the EUR is higher valued than the dollar.
It's all about rising the price as high as they think people are willing to pay.

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2022Ah yes, the ultrawide. Which is terrible on pretty much all... moreIn a way linked to what you're saying and equally in agreement with you, RAM and chipset processing power is almost a pointless brag.
12gb RAM - how many people genuinely need that? My Galaxy S10 has 8gb RAM - I use 50% of that. Its almost comparable to bragging about horsepower and top speed...
The majority of people have no requirement for masses of either because they're never in a situation that require it.
Aside from Gaming, the majority of people use a phone for basic communication, a bit of social media and taking pretty pictures.
Perhaps i'm missing the point but many of the smartphones on the market Today are overkill for 95% of the population...

They Will Not Reveal The Battery Capacity, As The SE (2020) Had A Very Poor One.
5G With This Battery Performance Would Make This Phone Un Usable At All. Making Phone Calls And Surfing Some Web Pages Using The 4G NetWork Does Not Make My SE (2020) Pass The Day. And After A One Year Now My Battery Health Is 88% !. So To Be Clear This Phone Has A Great Performance And Multi Tasking Capabilities,, But The Isuue Is The (Battery).

gsmafan1, 19 Mar 2022except that the SE comes with a dated hardware so you can... moreAh yes, the ultrawide. Which is terrible on pretty much all phones except flagships. They all just bolt it there to tick a "ultrawide" checkbox. Pointless. It's funny how they could take iPhone 8 from years ago, not modify it one single bit and the one camera it has still easily competes with phones released this moment in about same price range. Slow charging? Battery is small, it doesn't take long. I have 3000mAh in my XR and it charges fast enough that you just don't care. And about the chipset performance, what good is that for most Android phones when they don't get any long term software support? Bragging about modding and custom ROM's is a rubbish point. I've been there and honestly, ALL custom ROM's suck. Even LineageOS which is one of best examples one can give. You're still at mercy of volunteers who maintain the ROM and entirely depends if your phone is even supported and how. Last one I had only got nightly updates. Which means you're at mercy of buggy every day releases, hoping nothing goes wrong and if it does, that the fix is released soon. And the fact so many apps now complain about unlocked bootloader it made this "feature" entirely useless. So useless I rather use iOS now that just has very long software support by itself and that's that.

The SE makes sense for a lot of people. No need to spend a 1000 dollars to get one of the fastest chips in the market. In my country the 60 GB one is 452 dollars. Paying 27% for VAT is ridiculous. How could the economy of a country grow if people have to pay so much tax for necessary things like smartphones? You'd better move to another county.

gsmfan1, 18 Mar 2022Gosh with 500 euros I can buy a refurbished Find X3 Pro or ... moreexcept that the SE comes with a dated hardware so you can't really compare it with cars, no ultrawide cam in 2022? recycled internals and design without new features, still slow charging? no telephoto? I could go on.... i would take a refurbished android 2021 flagship over this phone (modding is also a thing right, so my flagships with their powerful processors will have usable software for a longer period)

Today, the base model of a mobile from oppo, Xiaomi, vivo are mostly 128gb. So the 569 euro iphone se should be compared with phones of other companies.
*There is more hidden cost:
-iPhone doesn't give you even poor wattage charger. Yet Xiaomi will give you a very great charger for free. So the actuall price of a iPhone se is actually about 620 euro with bad battery.
If some one tel me weather i will a iPhone se for the 620 euro (actual cost that i have to bear) or a Xiaomi redmi k50 gaming edition for 460 euro. Then I will love to buy the Xiaomi with all happiness and save 150 euro. Still, that will be a better deal than buying iPhone se.

gsmfan1, 18 Mar 2022Gosh with 500 euros I can buy a refurbished Find X3 Pro or ... moreSure you can. But it's still not a new device. Just like people who brag how they bought a 5 years old Audi for cheap. Sure you have an Audi now, but it's still a 5 years old Audi. A lot of people rather have a more basic product that's guaranteed new and not refurbished or used.

The SE priced at $429 excluding taxes becomes about $515 at 20 percent taxes which are maximum for most regions around the world. Yet the iPhone SE is priced at equivalent $570 here, making it $55 expensive over apple's prices. IDK why is it that expensive here. Even if apple assembles their phones here and they have official store, the price always remains high
iPhone is definitely very very overpriced outside USA
