Xianmark, 13 Apr 2022Hi; Anyone tried to use the NFC? is it working or not?NFC "Xiaomi Pay" (Xiomi s1 active global) is not supported in australia. It is kind a misleading if they have released global version they should made xiaomi pay available for all countries.

Hi guys, just wanted to add some of my thought and experiences after using this watch for a week. I own the Xiaomi Watch S1 Active, was previously on Amazfit Stratos 3.
Design - Clean, basic and good plastic. No complaints here even compared to the carbon fibre finish of my last watch. I do miss the option to operate the watch entirely with buttons for days when my hands are oily but that's a personal preference. Watch is extremely light, I forget it's there, which I absolutely love. Default watch bands are functional.
Screen - Bright and sharp, works in the shower, also contrary to the article. While the always on screen is only digital for the default watch faces included, many of the downloadable screens come with analog options for the always on screen. Always on display will have minute subtle shifts to prevent burn in of OLED
Functionality - Heart rate and running tracking seems consistent, GPS locked on really quick! Deep sleeps averages 50 mins to 90 mins for my records. No comments on accuracy since I've never validated them against other devices. SpO2 detections seem to be on the low side, ie 99 with oxymeter, 97 with this watch. Answering calls through the watch was surprisingly clear for both ends and I've used it consistently while driving. Extras like remote shutter control and music control all work well. No Alexa support in my region.
Battery life - Only averaged about 5 days with it. With an hour of exercise tracking daily, some calls, always-on screen enabled. Could be on the low end as I've also been playing with it more as one would with a new device. Magnetic charger is very secure.
Hope this helps some of you decide.

I would like to dive into the heartrate accuracy. I have Xiaomi Watch Global (Watch Color) and I compared it to Huawei GT3. Xiaomi consistently showed completely different results compared to Huawei. Much lower BPMs during outdoor cycling. The sensors are pretty bad. I know huawei is good, because there is a deep scientific test on channel Quantified Scientist. With which watch did you compare heartrates?

[deleted post]Right! No words on GPS accuracy either. Its pretty much like a "early view" or opinion rather than a review. One can't invest in something based on "Hopeful Potential" or just for the sapphire glass.

Unfortunately, the watches promise to be a crap similar to the One Plus Watch. :( The appearance itself (a matter of taste) and battery life are not enough. Probably Xiaomi will forget about this watch six months after the premiere.
1. Closed system (negligible number of applications).
2. Where is fast charging?
3. Where is the eSIM/LTE version?
4. Where is the memory for files/music?
5. The answer, whether there are maps on board and GPS track navigation function, is probably obvious.
6. With the Active model, if we have gloves, it would be useful to use a rotating crown with a built-in confirmation button.
It is a shame that the 5-year-old Amazfit watch (Pace model) is better than the fresh Xiaomi.:/

I wonder how they never managed to call out the design of the S1 being awfully close to the Huawei Watch Gt2 Pro

they are attractive watches expect wrong size choice. they had to be either both 1.2" and 1.4" screen sizes or one size 1.3". 46mm is way too big for only one size option.
