I never said OLED has worst colors. Rather the opposite, they produce punchier colors which has nothing to do with what I said.

I had iPhone 11 with LCD screen only few days. I could not stand the colors and the low screen resolution. Now I use an iPhone 12 Pro Max and loving it. My next upgrade will be on for iPhone 15 most probably.

This won’t happen next year. All models next year to get the i cutout. Wouldn’t be surprised if it only comes to the iPhone in 2027 as the 20th anniversary iPhone. Just like this i cutout will most probably be the 15th anniversary design

Apple may be trying to hedge their bets. Samsung should finally shift to UDCs in the S line in 2024/2025. A seamless, no-bezel display in the S line will compel Apple to make a design statement, as they did with the iPhone X after Samsung threw the gauntlet with the S8 Infinity Display.
Unfortunately, nothing will beat a bezelless display without cutouts or notches, which is why they're making design changes every year or so. Last year they shrunk the notch. This year, they'll switch to a double cutout. If this rumors is correct, they'll move on to a single punch hole. As such, whenever Samsung opts to add a next-gen UDC, they'll be ready with an answer.
It'll also help sales as visual changes will push more people to upgrade sooner. Meanwhile, I expect Samsung to keep the same design for the next three years, which I can assure you will be criticized, even though Apple has done that for ages.
Can't wait for the notchless, quad-curved S26 Ultra.

For me it's exactly the opposite. I've been using IPS LCD phones and then switched to Samsung S series. It's like I've been using black and white displays before discovering colors! I'm so much in love with the Dynamic Mode in display settings! I've tried to use it in Basic Mode but I just have the feeling of using a cheap phone with those 'natural colors' only. Bleah! 🤮
I'm never switching back to LCD.

The 15 pro will still have a punch hole camera. This is only for the FaceID sensors.
It's interesting to see the development of this technology in such a short time, but I don't care as much anymore. I don't use the UDC at all and I never notice the pixelated area. I'm mostly interested in slimming down the Fold and increasing the battery life.

Not that I'd buy an iPhone. I'm more excited that Apple will set the trend for cutout-free displays.
