This is exciting... Let's see what happens.
If this becomes a success then replacing it with the integrated GPU will save money, at least 40-50$. Also we won't need a mux switch.

I respect Samsung and Qualcomm for putting some competition but their SoCs are a joke compared to what Apple has to offer.

These core counts look kinda cute when compared to what Nvidia puts out with their 2000+ CUDA cores. But that doesn’t mean it’s bad like we‘ve seen from M1, it‘s just a different architecture and design decision

So from the article, power consumption, execution units count and chart.
We can assume the relative performance as follow (rasterize performance, not RT)
A350M ~ 90% of GTX 1650/Ti 50W
A370M ~ 90% RTX 3050/Ti 60W (maybe not on the same level as the 80W)
A550M ~ 90% RTX 3060 70W (from 60 to 115W)
A730M ~ 90% RTX 3070 80W (from 80 to 125W)
A770M ~ RTX 3070 high wattage variants.

SamsungRules, 31 Mar 2022LOL as if Apple doesn't throttle...if you are to reply... moreApple does throttle their performance, but that throttled performance is still way higher than Samsung's barely throttled level, let alone full thermal throttling, which reduces performance to almost less than half the full potential of the SoC.
And even with higher performance of the iPhones, they still easily beat the crap out of Samsung's Exynos when it comes to efficiency. PhoneBuff battery life test still crowns the iPhone 13 Pro Max as the battery life king after destroying the S22 Ultra in the same test, which also happens to be inferior to its predecessor S21 Ultra. Funny.
I don't like Apple's ecosystem at all, as well as many of their absurd decisions, but give credit to where it's due, as Apple is truly the master of silicon-making as of now. Literally the Apple M1 is the sole reason why Intel and AMD have planned to begin working on ARM-based CPUs as early as next year all of a sudden. If the ARM-based M1 wasn't any threat or something that Apple's competitors have foreseen coming, then Microsoft wouldn't even bother trying to make Windows-on-ARM better.

What would have been more impressive is h266 hardware decode, I doubt I’d encode anything with av1 as decoding support is still very low, but h266 hardware decode helps future proof the card
