1- A... moreWhen it comes to Graphics Performance it's a very different task and different competition, comparing (iGPU) Limited-Energy to High-Power (dGPU). Here "limited energy" is referring to under 15W TDP. It's true that sometimes those Big-GPUs can scale down nicely (RDNA-2), and sometimes they don't (Vega). And vice-versa, sometimes those Small-GPUs can scale up nicely (Apple M1), sometimes they don't (Mali Bifrost).

A7 - 64bit.... moreyou do know that actual inhouse development does take years of time before any of the chips are produced,so no google did not decide that oh nooo apple is 64 bit,lets go 64 bit too.all work will be done within a year. apple was the first one to bring it to mobile market with ARM
apple should however be lauded for their overall efficiency.the step to make arm as default on mac os with rossetta layer working perfectly is just too good,this will probably ensure that i am pretty sure intel and amd are probably internally developing arm processors too,but the rollout will probably take more time.
that said apple always does get a node above everyone else from tsmc because moneyyyy
apple will always get the leading node and then other companies can buy,intel's efficiency sucks and we all know it,samsung foundaries feel like they are not even in competition anymore

Interesting but I will stay with amd igpu ... It's more than enough for me.. those amd cpu hit the perfect spot for my usages.
Can do casual gaming, decent thermal, great battery life and more importantly can save a few bucks.
If intel price this lower then amd probably will react with even lower price tag.. good for end consumers.. and yes, Apple M1 still the gold standard but .............

Apple always optimise their chips with their OS continuously. Others just brag their numbers of cores or the mAH of their battery capacity.
It is no surprise they are the KING of making SOC for their OS. Because they know EXACTLY what is required. Unlike the others.. keep copying and keep bragging about the wrong things.

I think if they made the Arc 3 series into desktop graphics cards, then I think they would be great budget cards. With their low power consumption they would work brilliantly on older PCs with lower wattage power supplies.

Apple isn't actually doing anything special that other companies are incapable of doing with the same budget. It's mainly Apple's ability to design the A15 / M1 and derivatives to cater specifically to the tasks of their users. They make the OS and they can add stuff into the chip to accelerate common use cases (and vice-versa). If Microsoft could offer something comparable to Rosetta 2 in performance we would already see similar chips on the Windows side. The chip isn't the secret sauce it's vertical integration. "Apple Silicon" is just ARM.

dude111, 30 Mar 2022What are the equivalences between this and Nvidia, AMD disc... moreI may be wrong, I think this is a response to integrated Vega GPU's from AMD, those are really good. The ones from Ryzen 5 3400G, Ryzen 7 5700G and so on, all the curent APU's from AMD.
