The purpose of biometric authentication is to identify the user by using his physical characteristics. The same person can't pass a face authentication and fail a fingerprint authentication. If you want to increase the security level by using a two-factor authentication, you should use a biometric feature and a non-biometric feature (such as a PIN).

So you need to put a finger on sensor and also have face scanned at the same time. Or you could chose one or the other too. This would be unique among all phones. It would increase the price tho which is what they are trying to avoid imo.

Close to zero reason to have under-display fingerprint sensor, Face ID is already so much ahead of the competition. Apple bet the right horse and it's paying off big time.

But lets blame Apple again for BOE's shortcomings. LOL, people here are so disconnected from reality it's hilarious. Not to mention a) no one forces you to buy anything Apple in the first place b) no one forces you to upgrade an iPhone c) no one forces you to buy lower end model without certain features. It's like complaining about Samsung not providing S-Pen on Galaxy A53. ?!

It's reported recently that the new iOS update causes a battery drain issue for some users. Not saying that Android phones don't have issues. Both Android phones and Apple phones have issues.

So standard iPhone 14 is more like 12S v.2. What’s new if no promotion and keeps A15. They are holding back on innovation because they have so little going forward to add.

But, what I can say is, Apple is fixing many of the problems that appear, faster than other manufacturers. Maybe because their models are in more people’s hands, maybe other reasons, I don’t know.
Of course, iPhones are more expensive (even though this is becoming true for any manufacturers nowadays), and some of their models are not that good. But, when you put in balance everything, at least in the last 2 years, they had the most stable phones.
