Anonymous, 02 Apr 2022Headphone jack will always be superior to wireless headphones. as it disappears from most phones on the market. The average person clearly doesn't give a crap about differences in latency or stuff like that unlike audiophiles or tech enthusiasts

DMX, 02 Apr 2022It makes me laugh a lot those who complain about having &qu... moreYou don't quite understand how internet and connections work, do you? Secure connections prevent that already. They may see which webpage, but they don't know what transactions of data happened exactly. They just see there was traffic, but don't know what kind of data was in it. If you're using VPN, everything still goes through your ISP, but they don't have the slightest idea what content you're viewing, not content and not even what webpages. The issue is data hoarding on the end point, like for example Android OS itself which sends god knows what to Google directly from OS itself, making VPN useless. Data may be encrypted, but it goes to Google anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Anonymous, 02 Apr 2022Headphone jack will always be superior to wireless headphones. Man no will not.
In past it was Phonautograph, then Phonoautogram, then Phonograph by Edison, then Lateral Cut discs and so. In 1930 came Vynil plates. Vynyl plates has been surpased by Audio cassetes or Video Cassetes ,then came CDs, DVDs, Blue Ray, HDD, Externall HDD, USB keys and Micro SD cards, Cloud storage etc.
Soon or later wireless audio will be a lot better than wired one. In some cases like Yamaha brand or Senheiser or Bose i can honestly say they are lot better wireless ones than wired ones.
All i am trying to say technology is so quickly evolving since James Watt steam engine that whats modern today will be old tommorow and next week it will be superold.
Like when back in 2008 Nokia came with 41 Mpix camera.
Nowdays even a 150 eur device have 50 mpix or you can buy a 5G phone with price tag under 200. And 3 years ago it was 900+.
So saying wired are better is not a true because tommorow can someone invent wireless earphones which will be far better than the most powerfull and most avesome wired earphones of today.

guys, please, would you change a little the standard phrase "no micro sd or jack, no buy"? It's old and outdated. :))) Probably now it will be joined by "no sim slot, no buy" but the same...be more creative, please. Those things will disappear sooner or later entirely from the market because they are in fact holes in the phone's body which affect the water and dust resistance, no matter if it is IP rated or not and the evolution of technology can not be stopped. It is what it is and I would like to see a phone with no holes in it's body, even an alternative charging method, with no jack (I am sure this is not far away, with induction and stuff like this.)

... moreMan 256GB is enough for a phone with poor to mediocre 12 mpix cameras.
Redmi note 10 pro for example with 108 Mpix camera set to max 108 mpx camera with best possible details making 20-35 MB photos. So like 40 of them cost you 1GB.
In case of Motorola Frontier with its 200 Mpix it will make photo at top quality level consuming 40-50 MB. Which will be like 20-22 costing you 1GB of disk space.

Then it will no longer be eSIM. Carriers and apple agreed on eSim as a standard provided the intrinsic limitation that only 1 carrier's profile can be active at a time. If Google bypass this, it will no longer be industry standard. Also, to have 2 network profiles active, the phone will still need 2 radios (double modem/double antennas)... Don't get me wrong, I want them to get rid of SIM trays!

FatShady, 02 Apr 2022just because companies decide to doesn't mean we shoul... moreMan whether you want or not they can, could and they surely will force you.
Like with sealed batteries, like with no jack on flagships, no sd slots on flagships, no chargers in box, no earphones and no many else.
They force you to live without those features and with E-Sim it will be the same.
Whether you want or not if its for sake of profit they will do it and you will have no choice just go with the future or stay in past with some very old phone having all said features.

Hey phone manufacturers.... listen!!! I want dual standby SIM phones not the ability to switch operators on the same eSIM!!!
I want to receive calls on both SIMs. An eSIM that keeps only one connection active at a time is not what I want!
Clear?

Darknoor, 02 Apr 2022Who cares? You can count the phones that support eSim on yo... moreThere are around 100 phones/smartwatches that support eSIM.
Just because your country or your budget doesn't allow you to have one, doesn't mean the rest of us are not interested.
