Actually, one of the major reasons of such fall of sales is high prices. They are very expensive and with current situation of the economy, people will think more than usual if they are going to get one.

They forgot to mention it looks 100% the same as s21 and s22 ultra is uglier than s21 ultra.

Can you get hold of S22 series sales numbers worldwide. All we see are sales numbers from Korea. Didnt they sell well in other parts of the world, is that why we aren't seeing the numbers? Can you shine a light on this?

My s22 ultra and 2 other friends with the same are having massive lag issues when opening apps, phone freezes for 3-5 seconds before finally opening the app. Phone unresponsive until it's done. Very annoying on a flagship. S21 ultra didn't have this issue.
Apps from default camera app, messenger, chrome, outlook emails. The list goes on. Cleary an issue with the Exynos processor or software. Telling Samsung they just told us to send the phone away for assessment/repair ...what a joke

I’ve been using my iPhone XR since early 2019 and it stills holding up well and even can play genshin and other demanding games. While Samsung’s phones such as S9 and Note 9 which were released in the same year as iphone xr literally don’t perform well and can’t run genshin 60fps at all unlike iphones from that year. Even though iphone xr only has 3GB of ram but it manages to run apps and game smoothly unlike samsung s9 and note 9 that have 6gb of ram

[deleted post]Updooters like you assume everyone live the same lives with similar use case scenarios. And perpetuate a life of continuous consumption. Outdated features? Lack of choice doesn't mean acceptance.
And are you even aware that makers have cut orders for chips due to waning consumer confidence? And may even cut more if the situation persists. Guess it's the price to pay for releasing the same boring slabs every month and expecting people to buy them.

It's really only a matter of time before all phones start having less demand for them. Most people are using their phones for far longer. My brother used an iPhone X for 4 years. He got an iPhone 13 Pro last year and told me he sees no real difference.
Heck, I rarely go on this site these days. I'm more invested in Steam Deck videos as I'm still holding a reservation for Q3 (was originally Q2). I don't follow many phone tubers any more as most of them are just YouTube salesmen to garner views and subs for their channel. Only Michael Fisher and even his videos are becoming stale and redundant.
What's really out there that's innovative coming from smartphones? Even the luster from foldables is wearing out. The improvements are so minimal. We can use our current phones for at least 5 years if we wanted to but many do get bored of them like any toy when you're a kid. I don't see myself upgrading my phone for another 5+ years.

Apple is at a point where they can remove the phone and they will still sell millions of boxes. Samsung doesn't have the brand power to match Apple.
However, for years Samsung and Apple were in litigation and despite being on the negative end of the settlement, Samsung made enough money throughout to carve their own path to a certain degree. For them, copying Apple is a calculated risk.
