Your nickname, 05 Apr 20224 major Android update starting from Android 12 + another 1... moreI think is 4 major software updates (that means the last 1 or 2 could be only One Ui updates). Is similar practice like Xiaomi. They always say they deliver 3-4 years of software updates, their fans go wild with excitement on internet and say how Xiaomi is the best brand ever (lol), but in reality they offer just 1 or 2 Android updates. The rest are only MiUi updates.
Now, I don't think it matters that much, but at least their fans should stop giving this false image and propaganda of their brands.

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2022Does that mean the 2022 one gets a longer software update cycle? That's the only question running on my mind. And I don't think that's gonna happen.

Shadocx, 04 Apr 2022That's because you're comparing a discounted phon... more"The S21 FE is the superior phone", really? Because the elimination of expandable storage in that model (the S20 FE let you put in a 1TB microSD) is a DEAL BREAKER for so many people already. Also, the 888 overheats far more readily than the 865 for just small improvements to fluidity in games.

And glass is glass, and it scratches and breaks easily. The "Victus" is basically a marketing gimmick; Corning can't defy basic physics and chemistry (hence the very vibrant market for cases and tempered glass screen protectors to protect the "Gorilla Glass" screens).

960, 04 Apr 2022If they launch it with Android 12 with 4 year software supp... moreNothing special if you take brands that have phones where you can install new os on them then you get a lot more updates on android and security out of them. So 4 years for Android and 5 years for security dont mean a thing for samsung as that can be like 3 android updates only as most maximum you get out of them. They just delay the updates enough to cover 4 years. And then the updates stop rolling out and you cant even install new OS on them to have more updates

-never see replies-, 04 Apr 2022$575 is still so expensive for an outdated specs like that. Agreed, this is the weirdest thing I've seen.

In Germany you get the Galaxy S20 FE (2021) with SD865 and 4G (not 5G) for a bit over 300€ total cost within a 2 year contract. 1€ for the device and 12,99€ per month for two years (x24 months).

€575? haha last year i could've bought this for €460 brand new from a site in Europe....
