Still no periscope tele, so still just cropping into the sensor for tele, that's why iPhones still cannot compete with other OEMs' tele cameras, yawn...

It has never happened with any phone brand actually because it just doesn't make sense on a global scale. Galaxy S22's most likely totally outsell S22+ and S22 Ultra. And same goes for most other brands. Regular iPhone or regular Galaxy S are the center piece of sales, Pro Max and Ultras are just for bragging rights and to establish dominance. Sure they are sold, but in a minority. Difference is, if Mini model is canceled, not much is affected. If you cancel Pro max or Ultra, you portray yourself as someone incapable of producing absolute best. And then sales of lower models fall too. It's a stupid psychological thing done by basic people, but it's a thing. Remember how people stopped buying Pirelli tires for their family cars because they were bad in F1 ? It's that level of silly. But again, it's a thing.

The top selling iPhone is the 13 Pro Max while the worse selling models are the minis. Do you just buy the mini because you're too poor to buy a proper sized iPhone?

PhoneMan69, 19 Apr 2022Time to snag a 13 mini for a good price then. Yes, it will make sense the non pro models will get pro motion, but keep the same cpu. So they can reuse parts of the iPhone 13 pro last year.
Then the new iPhone 14 Pro will use new cpu and new screen.
So no point doing a mini, as it will simply be the same as last year.. but they will remove the high end storage options like the 512gb.. those that want the mini better get it now.
