Issue is, India and China just cares about idiotically oversized phones more, which automatically makes them a default option for any phone maker. Give people the cheapest possible phone with biggest possible screen and they'll grab it like mad. I mean, just look at all the crappy low end phones with almost 7" displays. They sale like crazy. I wouldn't touch them because they are impractical and rubbish, but people want that.

So many phones are launching now and then, but I am still not able to find a replacement for the Huawei Nova 7i/ Huawei P40 Lite.
I am looking for a similar specs phone not larger than 6.4"
around the same battery life
maybe a batter camera
I am OK without GMS no issue at all
5G isn't the thing in my country at least for the next 2 or 3 years
The price should be the same around $250-$300
I am confused to find a good one please suggest me any

People cry for small smartphones, but don't actually buy them. Even I'm using 6.7" Moto G100 and I've used to size almost instantly.

Iphone mini 13 =599 usd
Iphone 13 =699usd
Iphone 14 =799usd (same A15 chip+ promotion screen)
Iphone 14 max =899usd (same A15 chip+ proMotion screen)
Iphone 14 pro =999usd (new A16 + punch hole)
Iphone 14 pro max =1099usd (new A16 + punch hole)

Anonymous, 18 Apr 2022If the regular 14 and 14 Max have the same SOC as last year... moreIf true, regular 14 vs 13 wouldn't make much sense aside from 6gb of RAM in the 14.
The real reason is to eventually get the 14 Max, until now Pro Max was the only way to get a bigger iphone but the Pro models alone are roughly 300 euro above the regular models in price.
14 Max makes sense if you want a cheaper but large iPhone in combination with the super solid battery life, because it will use same chip as the 13 Pro Max does so the battery should be very solid (however probably a littlebit worse because the 13 Pro models have a LTPO panel, which I doubt de 14 and 14 Max are going to get)
So 14 Max for the battery, big screen but lower price and 6gb of RAM.
Kinda sad the Minis are gone, they are the last high end small phones, even smaller than smallest Android phones like the Xperia 5 III or the Asus Zenfone 8.
