      RIP SYMBIAN!

Symbian powered my first 5-6 smart phones starting with the legendary 6120.

I have been moved on from Nokia for 5 years now but am ever thankful to symbian.

It's the natural thing to happen to Symbian OS , It was the best OS in the Past ,but now it can't Compete with Android or ios or even WP ,I respect that OS but I guess it's EXPIRED!

Nokia is part of Microsoft or ELop still works in MS ? Why Nokia don't produce phones with MeeGo, Android ? Contract ? Probably exclude only Android, so why Nokia dont have any alternative ? HTC dont have problems with make phones with Android and WP. Samsung dont have problems with makes phones with WP, Android, Bada...So Nokia is now part of MS ?

Hello my dear Symbian lovers. Hallo my experienced ones in mobile smart technology, i salute you!

Is a sad day for us, but we all knew it will come. We all knew that the mighty 808 will be the last one dedicated to the masters of Symbian.

I want to say that The King is not dead. Will leave through our phones (not to forget that will be supported till 2016 if not even further:P). So, we won't see any new Symbian device. But we will see it growing old and by then will be a nice memory. So stick with your legends in your pockets. Nowadays, systems come and go but Symbian will live forever.

We know what Symbian is, we know who complained about it, we know who is cheap in business and who aren't trend sellouts. Symbian is a culture, it is everywhere and was everywhere way before this kidroids were even born. And this cannot be taken away.

Proud owner of 7650, 3650, 6630, 7610, n70, 5230, c5, n8 never died on me. Never lagged on me. And the most reliable smartphones i ever hold. 808 is my next. So it is not dead YET:P

While we celebrate the Quad Core CPUs, the Full HD screens, the Project butters, the best thing since the last Iphone and the portico updates, the fact remains(and most Indians would agree with me) that most of my generation users have started their smartphone journey with Nokia starting with their immensely popular 6600 all the way upto their N-series with the amazing cameras upto the N8 and 808 to end it... Will miss it for sure... :(

                            RIP Symbian

nekko, 24 Jan 2013Imho Symbian lost not because of the opponent is too strong... moreI am exactly thinking the same. Too bad Nokia chose to put an end to Symbian models, cause it had features I OS, Android and WP do not have, like... understandable multitasking, lightweight OS, a good energy management...
It is simple, without Symbian, we would never had know what are smartphones. It was a pioneer.
And now what? Will all smartphones just last one day without charging, will all of them just be connected devices instead of being converged devices, will they all be eye candy focused but lacking features and functions?
