Netflix is digging its grave. Because, apparently, over 100Million users share passwords. That number could well be over 50% of its Total Users.
Its arrogance to think that trying to police or bully users will result in anything good.
New OTT platforms need a chance to grow, and this may be it. I like Mubi too, apart from Amazon Prime.
But, apart from the Big 5, a hundred smaller OTT platforms launch each year. The monopoly of larger ones must end anyway. It will be good for the market, and more importantly, for the consumers.

Even if you log in from a thousand devices, you can't watch from them all at the same time. By sharing passwords, you're just getting the most of what's offered to you. Netflix would never have this many subscribers if it was for 1:1 only to begin with.

Listen, I admit there're problems with the entertainment industry and the ways they've chosen to distribute its content, but that's no excuse to be a thief. A pirate is a thief. Simple.
Find workarounds. Buy a blueray by contributing equal amounts in a 5 man team, rip them, make mkv's, each one take a copy, pay for your share in the blue ray and keep it forever, but never advocate piracy.
In fact, given the disease piracy is, no wonder we're being spied upon so much. And artists in general are not getting their share in success.

They need to stop cancelling their shows in cliff hangers first. So many good shows cancelled after 1st season or left in cliffhangers after 2/3 seasons.

Bigmeme, 20 Apr 2022Another reason to pirate content There are lots of online sites where you can see all the new movies in cam quality and HD quality later when they are released dvd/bluray copies. Also all TV Shows are for free in there. You can just google what ever you want to see and probably find what ever site for it. It's basically like you watch videos in youtube so you dont download the content and have a copy of it on your hard drive that is considered as a pirating. Watching content in online cant be considered as pirating. Well these sites are probably blocked for some countries but you probably can still bypass these country restrictions with VPN what you need to do anyways for the Netflix and the like platforms to see content that has region block for your country. For my country maybe there is like 50% of Netflix full content so i dont see a reason to pay 100% of the monthly subscription fee for them when i only get half of the content cause of all the region blocking and it does not matter that i dont really want to see this content or have any interest in it but it's the point that i need to pay full price for half of the content

And one more step to lose more of there subscribers. Like they have not lost a lot already. There was just a news where they lost like 200.000 subscribers cause of some series where man is pregnant. The far left woke garbage they produce that nobody is asking for and audience for the content is not enough to make even half of there money back
