I use Disney+hotstar on my 2TVs and phone and same with Prime.

Looks like Netflix execs need to step out of the room and start thinking about how people consume content and what they want/like.

No one will share passwords if your service was cheap enough. Along with that, I hate all the media companies for scattering content all over.
You cannot watch movies stress-free like you could listen music on Spotify and not worry about if it's present on your app or not.

[deleted post]Yeah in India you get 480p for the basic plan. ₹149 per month (2$)
For comparison you can get Prime Membership for ₹1499 (20$) with all its perks

How would they do it, that's the question. They can add limits to no of logins at one time but other than that, there's no way they would be able to do anything.

I put on Netflix today and the new release was the John Wayne Gacy confessions. A programme about an American serial killer from the 1970's who's story has been told countless times...no thanks.

[deleted post]You don't need a credit card. They also accept a standard debit card which most people have. They also accept PayPal certainly in the USA and Ireland.

potato4k, 20 Apr 2022When you start blaming your own customers for your decline,... moreYes these video services will learn their lesson hard way when piracy will come back.

People share their passwords to get access to multiple services and when those services blame the users they will just going to pirate everything and not pay for nobody.

The fragmenting of video services is just so bad that the whole business is shooting to their own foot.

No not down to account sharing. More likely down to outdated and average content as well as spiralling subscription packages as well as far better competition out there.

Wow isn't this a bit anti consumer according to the laws.So they want us to not share our subscription with our friends or cousins, etc. They wanna broke the freindship huh?

The downfall of Netflix we've been waiting for 🤭

I don't really watch too much of Netflix despite being a subscriber. But this is almost like hardcore policing. Users are being made to seem like criminals.

There are hundreds of OTT platforms turning up every year. Netflix will pay heavily for its arrogance.

Will they lower the monthly fee once they get all these newly paying subscribers? I use netflix at home in NY and at my place in upstate PA. 2 different states. Would they consider that password sharing?

And what if simply someone gives their phone/tablet with netflix access to their family member to watch something if a family member doesn't have netflix? What? Are they gonna send drones to charge it?
