Samsung Exynos 1280 chipset officially announced

Hemedans, 21 Apr 2022Exynos 1280 is better than sd 765G which use cortex A76. Yeah, slightly better if not basically the same. But it doesn't matter. It's predecessor, which is the A52s and absolutely not the A52 or the A52 5G and that phone uses the 778G which is twice as powerful and almost never lags.. The A52 and the A52 5G launched at basically the same time and were sold side by side until the A52s replaced both of them, because that was the successor for both those phones and this A53 replaced the A52s because it's the successor for that phone.

Obviusly he wasn't talking about a phone, but I agree so much and it's such a perfect line for this phone.

But A53 has things which will differentiate it with last year offerings like 5 year software support (last year ones has only 3 years remaining), camera is mixed reviews so far but there are lot of aspects where A53 camera perform better than A52s especially in low light, and always Samsung push updates later on to increase camera Quality. Also battery life is slightly better in A53.

In 2022, all the effort is being put into mmWave 5G and all (which will see very low adoption for a long time) and yet, they INSIST on topping out the wifi at WiFi 5 (802.11ac). They basically say "we want our customers have sh.tty WiFi", but they fail to realise that WiFi 6 is more than a speed increase, but also better performance in congested environments and better multi-device service, hence overall better wifi performance. Only MediaTek cares about putting out an overall "full" package. Give me Dimensity 920 instead of this garbage....

Wifi 6 should be the norm!If you're not interested in the A53 don't buy it....wait for the A53s or A53Pro coming later this year.

DUKE, 21 Apr 2022I've done enough research,but can't figure out if... moreWhen comparing it with Dimensity 900 devices (also using the Mali-G68 GPU with 4 cores) it seems that the results are fairly similar scoring slightly higher in some tests, slightly lower in others it seems to me that the same 4 cores is an accurate guess

Exynos 1280 is ok upgrade to snapdragon 720 and 750.

Scamsung giving trash exynos chipsets to their midrangers as expected. Even snapdragon 695 seems better.
They should've used:
A33 - Snapdragon 765G
A53 - Snapdragon 778G +
A73 - Snapdragon 870 or even 888 for the price.

Another meme from samsung. xD. will be great to see again all the fanboys unite and defend samsungs crap chipsets. While snapdragon, mediatek, apple is developing better and competitve chipsets each year samsung is busy devolping crap, calling it competitor to flagships and selling it at higher prices.
Also point to note the performance of flagship chips from samsung is comparable to middle upper chips from mediatek or sapdragon, but still costs more than the laters' flagships also don't forget they are home grown so technically they should cost less.

The practice of releasing a ''new'' model at the same price with inferior specs to their own in-house competition is getting more popular than ever and it's not ''Oh I will buy this because I don't need all that power'', it's going to be ''Oh I will buy this because it is newer'' and in essence this is just a mere legal scam.
