      Why does this matter? lg v50 and v60 models aren't supported by any providers... at least not in my area. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. I would like to go back to my LG and ditch this pos samsung. Rip LG

        India (just also very focused)
        Taiwan (yes the Velvet did sell somehow)
        South Africa (the only significant LG market)
        Japan (you may be surprised but yes, the V60 sells there)
        Canada (next to the US)

          Adegbenro, 24 Apr 2022The mobile division only or the parent company? Certainly not the parent company. In fact LG Electronics is still profitable over the years, just the tragedy of the mobile division (and some loss of very few other divisions) affected their profits.

            Amazing... LG made amazing phones.
            Reasons why they didnt had much sucess is i gusss wrong marketing..or lack of it.
            I had LG v30, now LG v60. Amasing piece of tech and durability.
            They have surBel products...like toyota in the automotive world.

              i hate what Samsung is becoming these last years. Following apple in removing charger ,headphone jack ,sd card ...etc.
              but its one ui is almost identical to LG UX which i also love.

                  [deleted post]Agree about the Sony fans, but Samsung is worse. Samsung forum operators lie about everything and will ban you for linking to actual evidence. Sony just floods their forums with unhelpful canned responses or "works for me." LG forums were abandoned empty. There was actually a graphic gay porn thread that was in the "most active" section for months, plus a few people asking why updates stopped.

                  I liked my LG Velvet 5G except that it stopped getting updates while it had some seriously annoying bugs. That's when I bought my dumpster fire Xperia 1 III. THEN LG starts pushing updates again and the Velvet is the far superior phone.

                  Too bad LG is dropping what they do well. I hear they're dropping solar too. Social media, marketing, and home automation, things they are an epic failure at, is their focus now?!?! I wish all the social media and marketing garbage was gone from my LG TV. Just be a TV/monitor.

                    And the reason why Apple makes so much is because they put less resources in and brought less while charging more. Where as lg brought more and didn't skyrocket prices as bad.

                      Samsung releases an uninspiring overpriced, throttled excuse of a flagship phone: Boring is good, it makes you the default choice in Android land.

                      This Last few months really turned me off of MKBHD's content: he has a nice voice and has some pretty commercial worthy B rolls, but he sold his soul to the algorithm (to not piss off his fans) and to whatever agency gives him early access, Manufacturing consent for the highest marketer.
                      Disappointing.

                        Still using the lgv60 dual screen here in America. Really wish LG didn't leave the smart phone arena. The wing was stupid and really just for amateur cinematographers.

                            apple is a giant which have half of its cash come from iphone itself. that's why apple puts so much resource on iphone. LG is another giant. but smartphones didn't bring that much money to the company. just like siemens did years ago to it's feature phones. so they put resources elsewhere.

                                The revenue was not enoug to cover the investment despite more thann40 million devices sold per year in 2019 and 2020.

Just like Sony and Google phones, LG phones aren't selling everywhere. As far as I can remember, outside of South Korea, LG only cares most on the USA and India.
