Unless if Sony finds a way to disable the X2 CPU for better thermal efficiency, it still won't make any difference from Samsung fabrication.

        I have the original Xperia 1 and am seriously contemplating this as I love the tall screen, sound quality and much more. However, if it is only going to come with two years of security updates then I think I will pass.

                        It has nothing to do with heat from CPU.

                        Battery gets gotter when you plug the phone and use it.

                          rhs, 27 Apr 2022does not matter its too expensive like 1/2/3!I'd still buy one though. After all, Sony phones are notoriously durable in long term use. A friend of mine still keep his functioning Z2 as a secondary backup phone despite already moving to 10 Plus since 2020.

Even the 1 Mk3 and 5 Mk3's dual focal length periscope camera cost a lot to develop and build. If there's a reason why Sony can gain profit, it's because they heavily focus on market that gives them real profitability. Just look at the USA - they are the very last country to get the 5 Mk3 when my country already got it way before them. No surprise since the USA doesn't give much profitability as most Asia countries.

                              I definitely can't wait for this year's flagship Xperia. I really want to see how TSMC fabrication fairs up with Sony's H.S power control.

                                        In entertainment electronics and more particularly in mobile phones, I support the only Japanese brand in Europe, Sony. I have the Sony Xperia 1 III and going to buy its successor 1 IV or new name. I wonder if the Pro series will continue after the Pro-I? Please that the availability date is close to the announcement!
