Xiaomi is losing sales because they eliminated the jack and SD slot. Also the newest phones are actually an downgrade from previous year and too many are named by a 3 years old kid. Or randomly.
If you go on a site to buy an xiaomi your head will be spinning in less than 3 minutes. So many variants that all seems a joke

But at least it gives people choices. And you can always look elsewhere if you are not pleased with certain model or brand.
On Apple side, iPhone users are stuck with what Apple is giving them in that period of time.
You want cheapest iPhone? Sorry we have only Xr, 11 or SE3. Which by the way they are all bad models of iPhone.
You want Mini iPhone? Sorry, iPhone 13 mini will be the last Mini released. After this is bye bye.
You want Pro Motion feature? Sorry, you need to buy iPhone 13 Pro or 13 Pro Max.
You want good battery iPhone? Only iPhone 13 series offer this.
So yeah it may look nice to you, but for other people lack of options is worse than too many options. From too many options you have the power to decide which one is the best for you. You just need to use your brain a little, to filter out the bad choices. But from lack of options, you need to accept what Apple is releasing in that year or wait another year and hope for the best.

Think 2wice again.....Apple with it's powerful ecosystem is alone (Apple is telling the world directly "not everyone need a mobile phone,stay away from phones".)
Samsung on the other hand is proving Apple wrong(Even among numerous Androids)
Listen carefully and take it from me. With Samsung you will know phones are made for different usages and purposes and not just for heavy duty performance which Apple (price-wise) is claiming today,yet they lacks alot compare to a GALAXY NOTE...**Typing from a Samsung Midrange😂😂.

Well, so much for the almighty Chinese brands, who, according to local "experts", are generations ahead from Apple and Samsung. Xiaomi 20 % down, Oppo and Vivo 30 %. Good. Even more than good. Excellent, I'd say.
And, of course, introducing two new models with no support every week doesn't change it.

It's why I just ignore 3/4 of phone brands because they just spam products to the market and even worse, offer almost no or terrible support for them (mostly in terms of software). Sorry, I just can't be bothered spending 6 hours figuring out all the minor or major differences between all the entirely unnecessary models. Apple is the only phone maker that has like 5 models a year and that's that. I'd actually hand Samsung a second place if it wasn't for all the stupid series outside of Galaxy A and S ranges. Because Galaxy A series generally only have few models every year and same for S. But then they have tons of other letters with weird rehashed models with mild changes that make about no sense at all. Just why!? It's why I hate almost 99% of Chinese phone makers. They just spam models to a point they entirely saturate the market with entirely pointless devices for every single $5 price bracket.
In fact this idea to have product ready at every possible and impossible price point is just so stupid. "Back in the day", if you wanted something cheap you just bought something cheap. If you wanted something better, maybe there was a bigger price jump, but you also got a significantly better device and deciding that was also much easier because you were picking between 5 models. Not 25. Basically how picking a new iPhone looks like. Do I need massive display and bunch of cameras? No. So I'll buy the regular iPhone. It's so simple and you almost don't have to dig through comparisons to do it. Good luck doing that with a Xiaomi or Motorola...

Granted several of those are only very minor (and seemingly pointless) variations of each other, but that is just ridiculous.

Anyway, nobody keeps their phones for more than 3-4 years. Not even the Apple fanboys who say longevity software support is a must. And the ones that keep them for longer time, do not care about software updates in the first place.
Bottom line, in the first 2-3 years S series from Samsung gets treated quite nicely.
My second hand S20+ is still receiving monthly security updates. And is a 2 years old model.

These metrics are irrelevant if they aren't sorted by price. So, Samsung sold 73 million devices. Which ones? It's a big difference if 3/4 of these devices were Galaxy S22 Ultra models or if it was Galaxy A03 models...

Either another Samsung manufacturer, Samsung is going the way of LG, I don't want a phone named after my dishwasher or washing machine, that we are going to add the things that samsung is committing every year
