        But they apparently had little interest or motivation either. And as well don't care about expandable storage

          It has become the standard for internal storage in Android phones which means the interface is already in use, to support it as an expansion the SoC would need a second UFS controller to maintain the speed. As far as I know there are no dual UFS SoCs to date.
          There’s very little motivation to use it in other devices, it seems to be only Samsung pushing it, so it will probably limp on as an expansion port on Samsung laptops. Because it is the standard internal memory for phones making the cards doesn’t cost Samsung much but other companies are unlikely to pay them the license fees to use it.

                  It seems like the Kingston Endurance lineup has a competitor. It'd be nice to see how this fares up with my car dashcam.
