The 108mp camera an s21 and s22 are really usless, terrible quality which shows that amount of resolution is only to decive people and now we will have 200mp😑 when this MP war stops

        200MP will be so overwhelming..
Common people will use it, and then when they upload it to social apps, the quality of picture file get reduced.

        Lmao

          Can't wait

Mobilemaster, 10 May 2022It uses binning, so actual shots will be around 12 MP, but ... moreI can't find any information regarding binning on the internet so far... I guess we'll find out sooner or later. Even if it's 4 way binning, then 11.75MP shots could still be really good with such a large sensor.

BTW, every other company is providing multi-cam setups, so i like the different route Sharp is taking with their latest flagships. A single powerhouse of a camera can really make a difference in photography.

They did actually go the multi-cam route with the R5G two years ago (Wide, Ultrawide, 2xTele, ToF), but the phone failed to make a buzz in a market full of similar phones. That's probably why they're trying something different.

Pure android experience always prevail Samsung useless and typical bloatware.

A 3x optical zoom would be appreciated on a flagship.

Samsung, you could improve the light gathering and resolution capabilities of the sensor greatly, by altogether removing the CFA, and either handling everything in post, or, having a CFA projection on the sensor, and using the dual image (with and without colour), for substantially improving detail and light information. The Computational Photography Algorithms will have to be seriously tweaked to get rid of fringing and moire. If done well, the sensor could have some serious zooming capabilities, without needing another sensor for that.

As much as I want the 50mp I feel like 40mp would have been a better trade off for pixel size still. But 47mp 1 inch will still be nice.... meanwhile Sony over charging for 1 inch sensor that you only get 12mp out of... and other specs of phone are 2-8 years behind other phones... shame

It should be so much better than others that will make heads turn. It's good quality i would admit but at night it's horrible. I somehow feel they should be able to do better with the hardware but it's Samsung as always trying to use hardware to compensate for their lack in software power. I can only imagine what Google can do with the kind of camera hardware that Samsung has.

The Aqous R7 comes with a 47MP 1" sensor with F/1.9 aperture. It's not confirmed yet whether it uses any type of binning or not. Their last phone had a 20MP 1" sensor without any binning, so they might really deliver a behemoth of a phone camera on a smartphone. Fingers crossed.

..BIG sensors, small but might pixels, and an all round unique set up (at least same sensor n aperture size for primary and UW modules)

_then add up something like laser and 3dTOF sensor ...👌
