Anonymous, 10 May 2022At least 5 years behind everyone else, lol.Apple is always late.

All these commenters saying apple is behind everybody else, you got it wrong.
Apple is deliberately stalling so by the time they release one it would be old tech and they can say they reinvented it.
Same thing like they did with active noise canceling.

Anonymous, 10 May 2022At least 5 years behind everyone else, lol.Lol, you're still screeching with your "first"? Just because someone makes something first doesn't mean it's good or even the best. Everyone did the popup/flip/whatnot cameras the moment someone did it. How did that go? Literally no one is still using any of that. Apple never even tried it. And no one cared that they haven't. Except you people who complain about everything Apple anyways.

        oh my...

        Need to release something new,

        ended with reinnovate foldable...

Writing this in anticipation of all the people that are going to do an about face on Foldables once apple makes one.

RealLifePhones, 10 May 2022so you mean Apple is going to buy Samsung panels and claim ... moreIt seems like none of you even know how things actually work. Just because Apple doesn't have own manufacturing plants doesn't mean they can't invent new things. LTPO displays are literally Apple's invention/design. Then they hand the design to Samsung, which is the manufacturer and they tell Samsung how to manufacture that design. And then they manufacture it for Apple. It might be different design or different approach for this one and it's unknown for the moment. We had adaptive refresh rate before LTPO, but none was adaptive that far down to just 1Hz and with such low power consumption. This might be similar approach to folding displays already used by Samsung, but with different approach of removal of the polarizer layer. Maybe they figured out way to do it without affecting legibility of the display or something...

Meanwhile Samsung is testing fourth generation of Z Flip and Fold phones

Apple is probably trying to figure out how to make it expensive, to make as much profits as possible

                        A few years later....in 2025

Apple decided to use Samsung's display for their folding iphone and ditch their own panel.

so you mean Apple is going to buy Samsung panels and claim the accomplishment for themselves like they invented it? 😂
Business as usual I guess 🤷‍♂️
