The outward design of the phone may look mostly the same, but Sony also upgraded the screen, speakers and the other cameras on the Mark 4.

Still can't get over these flat out despicable lies and ridiculous claims. Revolutionary.... when already shown there's absolutely nothing revolutionary about it.
And the 50% brighter claim really kills me. It's almost not any brighter at all... like 20-40 nits brighter........ yet they have the audacity to claim 50%!!!!?????
And the Sony knights are literally ignoring that and defending them for it still.
So even though they have been working on 4k phone displays for like 6+ years they went from the $2500 outdated specced Pro with the brightness of the 8 year older Galaxy s4.
To the 1 iii and pro 1 with the brightness of the 7 year older galaxy S5. At rare moments could match the S6.
And now its still the same. Brightness of the S5 or S6 depending on the display mode and app being used.

    The present is Wireless is worse than wired, and there is zero debate around it, its fact and always has been.
    And because wireless isnt at the quality or affordability as any good quality wired headphones, then why take the 3.5mm jack away when its blatantly got better quality?
    The companies force you to buy into their POSSIBLE wireless future with no gurantee that youll prefer it to wireless.
    I use galaxy buds and sony XM4 headphones and neither of them match the quality of the KZ IEMs i got on amazon for £30.
    Companies will force you into the wireless world for nothing more than money and profit. So until that day when wireless can be equal to wired in the distant future, companies should include the headphone jack because were not in that future, were in the present, where wired is blatantly the king of audio quality

      Most earphones last long enough you worry of nothing.
      And when comes to updates wired sound or 3,5mm jack technology we have here since 1869. Since then it many times eveloved and came to a point where no upgrade could help.
      When comes to wireless its still have a long way to go and lots of evolution before it came to a point where no upgrade will be possible.
      I only dont understand peoiple like you and others who dont want to accept the fact as it is. The truth that wireless will surpass wired ones and oin many cases its better.
      Because smartphone you have to charge too. Same goes to smartwatches and many esle.
      So thing about battery endurance is not right here.

        Yes, JBL wireless earbuds sound better than a pair of £15 wired earbuds, and thats about it.
        Wired sounds better no matter what way you try and argue it.
        You cant sit here and compare the audio quality of Sony XM4 wireless headphones, which for context i use daily, and a cheaper pair of Audio Technica wired headphones, because the audio technica embarrasses sony.
        Wired will always be better than wireless.
        And like i said, the only thing wireless has, is convenience. except when your convenience runs out of battery during a log trip or a bus ride and youre left without them

            Yes ma its already better but thats dependable of type of wired and wireless device we comparing.
            So yes comparing lowest of the low wireless to best Sony, Yamaha, Senhesier, JBL, Jabra, BOSE etc wired ones is uncomparable same for vice versa.

                And yes man for sake of income most companies push selling wireless towards the wired.
                For same sake and for better understanding wireless technology is here to stay and it slowly surpasing the wired technology means wireless is and will be better in most cases and scenarios.
                Regardless what you thinking or want companies will force you to go with wireless and you couldnt do anything about it.
                3,5mm jack is a piece of the history and its here since 1869.
                The fact is really old and retired technology which needs its rest and it cant evolve anywhere else further wireless is here.
                Untill humanity creates something which surpases bluetooth and other wireless technology we have now and tech which will eventualy came to the point of no further improvement unless something tottaly new is born wireless and bluetooth is here to stay and companies will force you to use it regardless of what you wants.
                Just lack no SD cards, sealed batteries, notch, curved screens, faster charging or zero charger in box, lack of ancient outdated technology known as 3,5mm jack etc.
                And companies like apple help popularize because they never invented a thing. Just like with the sealed batteries. Apple werent first but helped popularize.

                  Do you logic at all? And sure bluetooth is future whether that's a good thing or not. But this is present. Not future.

                  Again there is a difference between it being the future, regardless of how beneficial that is or is not, and it being better.
                  We fully get your argument and clearly already know that yeah that's what the industry is moving to.
                  What you are not getting is that does not some how manipulate facts into meaning it is superior.

                  -Weird still has better quality, uses less device battery, and doesn't need charged. No latency lag either. Yes cables can break.
                  -Bluetooth might be more convenient sometimes sure.
                  But it also has latency lag, is not as good quality even if good enough for most, needs charged and can die on you, is not always an option, can get lost easier, and uses more device battery.
                  So no. Bluetooth is not just simply "better". And again was removed at zero benefit for anyone except the greedy pockets of people like apple and Samsung.

                  Yet for someone who speaks against such companies so much you are really really defending their honor...

                      Wireless is the future s here now it was here before and it will be here to stay.
                      Maybe some wired ones are better but not all.
                      Every product is improving and evolving same goes for wireless earbuds.
                      Not matter how many times you try wireless will be better and definitely it is in case of top branded and quality products such as Bose, Yamaha, Senheiser, Jabra etc. Even some JBL wireless earbuds and earphones sounds a lot better than most average wired ones.

                        Brother you need to do some reevaluation.
                        FACTUALLY, wired is better quality than wireless
                        Wireless is more convenient yet easier to lose and has a layer of running out of battery.
                        Everywhere still uses wires, no clue why youre saying 3rd world countries are the only ones, bit disconnected if you ask me. If that was the case then why are all the best sounding products wired?
                        Until there is a day that wireless audio has the same quality as wired, then wired will always be the better choice.
