Your product will be a hard sell if its price is much higher than the most popular product in the same category.
I don't understand your purpose, though. Why do you want this phone to release late? What will you benefit from that? Is it good for if this phone releases early, so you can buy it sooner if you want it? To be honest, your behavior is weird. It's like you just argue because you want to argue with no purpose.

Look at ShortCircuit and other reviewers. GSMarena should've mentioned something like this, but then again they didn't mention that they have a pre-production model in their review. If they don't actually end up with chargers then, that's on Sony.

I wish Sony could live up to their potential instead of bottom dwelling like this every year.
They have the name, recognition, power, factories, money, and resources to be leaders in the phone market.
Instead every year they just release a pretty package with outdated hardware. With one or two nice things which somehow ends up being enough to get their fans defending them to the death.
And on top of it they don't market or release it!
They cut corners on hardware, software, marketing, release time, and availability. Yet still charge more than anyone.
And the only reason such a tactic has worked so long is only cause they are Sony. Any other company would have drowned.
