      Over priced junk at $200 anyway. Can't charge that much at this point in time for something so simply that a $50 prepaid or $200 iPhone se does the same thing.

        this was long overdue, almost thought they did it silently

              I recall that iPod touch has the same CS4398 DAC as iPhone 4.

                I do wonder now what companies would use as an alternative to iPods for work, like manufacturing etc.

                Though, it has been a great run for the iPod. Had an iPod touch 5th gen and loved it to bits before selling it to exchange for a phone.
