      Lower the price please.

Fearghast, 15 May 2022It's simply not looking good enough for the price they... moreThe phone will get software updates, so some things might get better. I agree on the high price tag though.

The 1 IV is actually good, bit on expensive side but so are all flagships, but 10 IV......that thing would be overpriced in 2020

I was so happy to see the 10 IV review until they mentioned they have no stereo speakers.

The 1 IV would for me if it was a bit cheaper.

Maybe 5 IV might be the one (heh) for me. less than $1K with stereo speakers and similar specs as 10 IV. Dont mind a weaker camera/CPU and a smaller screen.

As long as they continue withholding replacement batteries I will never buy a Sony.

It's simply not looking good enough for the price they're asking.
I know Sony Xperia 1 IV is in pretty much late alpha/early beta stage software wise, but I would not get my hope up Sony fixing so many bugs.
Not to mention that the zoom lens is really low quality and there are plenty of overheating issues.

At least, the battery is finally really solid, even for beta.

Maybe Xperia 1 V will be worthy of consideration.

Considering I have the 1 iii, I'm not swayed enough considering the DAC hasn't changed and there's no variable refresh rate (imagine the battery if it had that...).

The 5 IV with the 1's upgrades would be brutally tempting however.

I'm on 64mp beast, but I miss fast eye AF and jack with dseehx.
Unlike 1III, 1IV is sharper what makes me more interested in that small resolution, jpegs are also not useless anymore in it.
I'm not satisfied tho with how big sensors are, just imagining 1/1.3" main sensor, 1/2" ultra wide, 1/2,4" tele in coming flagship, feels like there should be UltraIV somewhere.
I also feel we should move to multi aperture and 10-15x zoom by now. But Xperia is basically all about music and camera lovers, there is just not enough people buying it so it's basically hard for Sony to improve, it goes in circles.

So to sum up, the phones are too expensive and no one actually wants them anyway. Can't wait till Sony are gone, they've been awful since they stopped coll berating with Ericsson and now they just make odd looking, overpriced phones with useless features (4k screen that's never 4k and using a 1 inch sensor but restricting it and that produces worst photos and video than phones from 2019). Do they still overheat like mad like all the other Xperia phones.

I was one the people planning to get the 10 iv, but the phone is underwhelming in all aspects other than battery life. The 60Hz display isn't such a big dealbreaker for me, although 90Hz would be certainly be nice given the phone increased price. I was expecting Sony to finally put in stereo speakers, but alas Sony still thinks only flagships deserve them. Sorry, I am not trying to antagonize anyone with this comment. Just trying to voice my disappointment.

One word "inflation" it killed our wish list, Xperia 1 IV is the perfect phone, Xperia 10 IV is very good but i can't get over the screen RR and the speaker.
