I don't get it though, there is already USB-C on iPad. Why is such a difficult thing to make on iPhones too?

Apple is concerned that "...slowing down the introduction of beneficial innovations in charging standards, including those related to safety and energy efficiency."

Of course Apple, USB-C will slow down your innovations in charging, LOL. It will only slow down your income, but makes consumers' lifes easier. And save some of their money.

I love how Apple is like "this EU law will hurt innovation regarding charging" when they haven't done any Innovation regarding wired charging lol

One type of cable > innovation slows down

Many types of cable > e-waste, incompatibility

Pick your poison. I for one think that Type-C on every device is the better route. Compatibility and not having to carry 2-3 types of cable is much better.

haha mfi certification go bye bye
