What, 16 May 2022i think SD870 is still the best chipset for now. Heating is... moreyes,it is.....less throttling, less heat, blazing fast....Its indeed qcom's one of the finest chips of all time....

i don't think they can beat latest dimensity cpu in term of stability and heat .

SShock, 16 May 2022I don't understand why are companies so obsessed with ... moreHence why gaming phones should not be looked at as a niche anymore. They pair these ultra-powerful chips with solid thermals and big batteries (with the exception of Nubia this year for some reason...).

With the insane increase in power, Samsung, BBK, and Sony should honestly make THICC (lol) variants of flagships for those who want the power, big battery, and better thermals and don't care about the weight. Phones are already huge so they can make the regular flagships smaller for those who want faster charging me and lighter phones while retaining the solid cameras and ISP.

Soc makers should remove X core...it is the main reason of heating..not samsung or tsmc fabrication process..for example D9000..it is made by tsmc but still throttle.but people are blaming Samsung for 8g1 heating...a$$

Qualcomm's best chips are behind it. The latest flagship chips hear up like an oven and have terrible battery life, while the midrange chips have dropped 4K video recording (look at the Redmi Note 10 vs 11 reviews). MediaTek all the way.

              Finally no heating*

I would love to see how it stands up against Dimensity 9000.

Why do I have the feeling that they will once again ignore the premium mid-range segment and only announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+? The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 should have been released months ago.

Still, if it brings a big enough performance boost compared to the 780/778, it is worth the wait. Especially when compared to the Dimensity 8100 (the likely direct competitor of the 7 Gen 1), which uses outdated cores and architecture.

                    Bring 732G (a good 4G processor) successor.
Rework 680 and 695, especially the area of video recording and better Cortex A76 for 680.

                      Upgrade 😡 680 (a73 in 2022 🤢🤮)
                      And 695 especially adreano 619 😡 (no 60fps huh)

So in theory, the SD 7 gen 1 is basically a SD888 without the X1 core and a slight upgrade in Gpu , thats interesting :3

will there be a 7 gen 1 plus lol

Look at MediaTek Dimensity 9000 for an example of how rushed those "new" ARM V9 cores are. Judging by that, the 8G1+ should be slightly better, but it still won't match SD870 levels of throttling and efficiency

Android.Oreo, 16 May 2022We desperately need upgrades for snapdragon 680 and 695. The 680 doesn't need an upgrade, coz its basically extending the life of a 4 to 5 year old silicon (Snapdragon 660 used in 2018 phones). But instead, Qualcomm should have upgraded the Snapdragon 678 chipset.

As for the 695, I mean, there's time for that 😂
A 6 Gen 1 with these new ARM v9 cores and a better GPU+ISP with 4K video recording support would be nice tho...
