For flagships, you've got the 8 Gen 1 and 8 Gen 1 Plus

The 7 Gen 1 is the successor to the SD 778G and 778G+

i think SD870 is still the best chipset for now. Heating issues considered.

I don't understand why are companies so obsessed with ever increasing performance with every release. These top end chips are already fast enough and only thing that's really holding them back are thermals and efficiency. What's the point of super powerful super fast chip if it starts to throttle after 30 seconds. I really wouldn't mind Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ did nothing but improve efficiency. It would be as fast as non-plus version for burst tasks, but would be significantly more efficient on battery as whole and as a result of better efficiency, it would perform better under sustained loads too.

Will the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 take place in mid rangers or flagships?

We desperately need upgrades for snapdragon 680 and 695.

Too little too late. If Smartphone makers don't release (I mean actually being able to buy and recieve it in a few days at home) immediately after the SOC announcement then nobody is going to buy them.. I know I won't. Why should I wait and buy almost the same SOC as in January when I can also wait and buy the SD8 gen 2 in a few months..

Whatever fabrication QC used, it will still heat and throttle.
