Leica will have learnt a lot from Huawei so Xiaomi can now benefit from their experience. However wouldn't expect a monumental jump in picture quality with the Xiaomi 12 ultra. Maybe some new camera features and/or hardware and some slight image processing improvements. Definitely likely to be an improved Sony main sensor. Will also be interesting to see the pricing strategy and whether or not it maintains the same launch price as the mi11 ultra

    Huawei pioneered the now modern version of night mode that every single other smartphone follow to this day

    I remember a time Google, apple, Samsung etc didn't even have a night mode lol

    No software was helping Google's poor zoom .. it couldn't hold a candle to the vary vocal X10

    And to this day no one has even properly taken up the torch to continue the pursuit beyond X10

    And it's only since last year other OEMs started to introduce another colour to their camera via RGBW

    Once again Huawei helped pioneered this approach in the smartphone space


    So I'm not sure what Google is killing right

      And next thing they have to do is fully iron-out and polish their MIUI skin and have long term - timely software update.

      Maybe it too much for low margin as Xiaomi but they really have to setup their game if they truely aiming to be "true" Top 1 or 2 mobile company.

          If only Xiaomi can also focus on fixing their buggy MIUI. I do like their premium flagship, but man their OS sucks big time!

            "lack of thunderbolt", thats an intel feature sadly, and for those wanting an i9 instead, the mofo would cost at least 3grands.

              Cant wait for 5mp micro cam !

                    another marketing gimmick that will increase the price and will make Xiaomi smartphones pointless to buy because they will cost as much as Samsung and Apple smartphones but have worse quality components like the motherboard as well as worse software
