GSMArena labs: we are introducing reactions to our comment section

Honestly, I like the ancient system.
Where you can +1 a comment, or -1 it. And the readers can see what rating it is. And if something is "negged" many times, it forces those comments to collapse. Whilst collapsed comments can be expanded to be viewed. And highly upvoted comments usually get highlighted so they stand out.
Now, things aren't as easy to digest/read.
There's too many emoji's to understand what to make of a comment. So not a fan of it atm.
edit 4: Looks like you can "Upvote" a comment. And if you change your mind, to undo it, you have to go into it and click "Downvote" to revoke your thumbs-up emoji. There doesn't seem to be any actual way to "neg" a comment.
edit 5: I think the readers have figured out a solution. Click the "Black Tick" for things you agree with, and click the "Red X" for things you disagree with. It will tally the number of votes for that emoji next to it.
edit 6: You can't do two emoji's. You have to pick between the Tick or the X, or some other Reaction if you prefer. To undo a Reaction, click it again which will remove it, or just click on a different Reaction which will override your old one.
edit 7: You CAN in fact do two reactions, as long as one of them is the Thumbs-Up. Which is kinda stupid. They should remove it, and just have the Tick or X, for voting. And have the other Reactions for people that want to be creative/different (or too lazy to write a reply lol).

Sigh generic emotes ...
Missed opportunity to have emotes that are commonly used in your comment section those that are appropriate for YOUR type of audience
Examples
-A fire 🔥 (because it a common practice to criticize overheating smartphone chipsets)
-A no headphone 🎧 jack icon
- some form of overpriced emoji
-some kind of dragon icon and some yellow square emote to represent Qualcomm/mediatek
Or basically a ton of "X is better than Y" emojis because this site's fans compare slot
Or some Samsung, apple etc is #1 things
LCD or OLED upvote emoji, or and X going across the word LCD/OLED etc to signal your dislike
Icons for various smartphone specs...
The point is things that this site by now should see patterns and make better effort to suit this audience

Mart, 27 May 2022Use DisqusTesting.
So if I reply to the comment above mine (which has no replies), then in their original comment they will get a "Black Tick" next to their name. I think. Let's see.
edit: Looks like we still can edit the comment within a 10min windows. Whew.
.........also, they didn't get a Black Tick. They're not registered so might have to try someone else. Will report back in a moment.
edit 2: Nope that wasn't it. Apparently the Black Tick is a Reaction/emoji. It isn't showing on Safari/OS X.
edit 3: Restarted the browser, it's showing now, weird. There's likely to be bugs here we will discover.

They should allow comments to be easier to post without the need to remind you to consider creating an account so your comment will be posted immediately.

Upvotes on mobile were badly needed. Thanks GSMARENA, hopefully nothing breaks and we get more functionality in upcoming updates.
