Great, now can they work on restoring the things my Google Home used to be able to do but now gets wrong on a daily basis?
Or maybe get it to stop turning off my TV or playing random songs from Spotify whenever it mishears a basic command.

The moment you agreed to used Google Assistant, say goodbye to your privacy and location. You can't use Google assistant if you turned off location service. That's why I turned off Google assistant on my Android phone. From location to microphone and even history.

People bashing google for collecting your data and sell 'em for ads. Are you people not F-ing aware that the main income from internet is ads? Etiher way, there are no alternatvies. Every company are the same. Just stop rely on those stupid digital assitants if you don't want your data collected on their servers (at the least, on Android you can to de-google your device, there's no way for de-Apple, tho)

In fact both are even, it just depends what we are talking about.
Anyhow it’s privacy vs freedom pretty much… unless someone is in the luxurious position to run custom ROM without anything Google provides.
“Luxurious” because from my experience in a lot of cases, running a custom ROM on your phone all time is not something everyone can do, especially without Google Services a lot of apps just don’t run (but again it depends on the user and the apps they use)

This is why I hate it how everyone is dissing Samsung's Bixby. I don't care if it's terrible and it can't understand your horrible accent and your bizarre 2 paragraphs long requests. It's an alternative option. I use Siri and iPhone just because it's not Google and has NOTHING to do with Google. If I'll ever go to Samsung, I'd rather use Bixby than EVER use Google Assistant. Because if there is no Bixby, I'll have no option.
