Good news, though a little late. Nevertheless better late than sorry. The lack of AOD is one of the reasons why I never used an iPhone as daily driver. Since Android manufacturers also remove basic functionality i.e. headphone jack and sd memory card expension on flagships, the advantages of Android phones diminish over time.

      Every year since the iphone 12 I see the rumor about some sort of emergency texting system using satellites but never has this rumor materialized, I hope it will be different this time (probably not though...). The AOD rumor sounds more realistic to happen.

                Can't you read or are you deliberately trying to misread ? Base flagship OnePlus means the ones on sale currently, example the 9 and 9 Pro, with 9 being below $500 in this region while the vanilla 13 costing around $940 for its lame 60 hz screen without AOD. The 9 has 120 hz with AOD while the lame iPhone struggles to offer anything worth buying

                  You can call it whatever you like, but this is really nothing more than a feature coming to iPhone that some will be glad of because it means they can make use of it without leaving the iOS ecosystem they so enjoy using. And others such as myself will in all likelihood end up disabling right away.

                  But nobody other than Apple themselves will treat it as the next coming (whatever that is supposed to be) and that will just be marketing speil anyway, as one would naturally expect from a successful major company. Like for example Google just did at io with the introduction of their new ‘Wallet’ app, even though it basically just mimics the functionality of Apple wallet, which has been part of iOS since what iOS9?

I've been using it for over 3 years and I always update the moment updates are out. I've never experienced what you're describing. Not once.                             iPhone 13 256GB is 855€ and Galaxy S22 256GB is 838€. Not only they are both cheaper, they are both better in pretty much every hardware and also software metric. OnePlus is just a bland shadow of itself and even before BBK swallowed it, it was rather mediocre for the last few versions. Hell, there are many more other Android phones that I'd pick way before I'd ever consider OnePlus. OnePlus used to stand for something in the past, now it's just another BBK's smartphone version churning machine.

You also seem to completely ignore the fact that the OP has a 120 hz display with AOD, both of which are absent on the 13. Forget this year OP phones, even last years OP has those and yet Apple won't give those on their phones. The display size, battery, RAM and storage are all bigger on the OP, than what the 13 offers. And yet all you can talk about is a camera. Such monumental ignorance by iPhone guys LOL. They all seem to be blind to the world outside the iBubble
