Rumors cited different numbers: 1/1.0", 1/1.1", etc. Different resolutions too. Now here are the actual specifications.

          Each pixel on the sensor has a measly 0.64 micron size, which means you'll only be using the 50MP and 12.5MP modes anyways.

                Colour filter is there.
                The full resolution is 100% software, this is why low quality compared to bayer sensor.

                      Olympus Oms, 31 May 2022Waste of time and money. Kids today want 200+MP.I'd actually want more 64MP sensors. Maybe a good one, like the ones ZTE is using, given how the normal resolution has been 12MP. I'd want an increase to 16MP purely for a slightly more detailed photo.

                      However, 200MP sensors are totally moot. There is absolutely NO reason to get a 200MP sensor when full-frame cameras don't even bother with anything more than 12, 16, or 20MP unless you want the extra flexibility of a 200MP. I frankly find the prospect the same as my P30 Pro's 40MP mode: useless unless there is bright sunlight and no need for HDR.

                      Don't get me wrong, detail is good. But honestly, current-gen 50MP and 108MP can offer more than enough detail when you disable their Quad-Bayer filters. (Tetrapixel if you're confused)

                      This camera resolution is perplexing. 54MP nominal resolution, 13.5MP Quad Bayered. But hey, It'll be a good snapper, that's for sure.

Imx789 is 16:10, still does not keep FOV when user switches between 4:3 and 16:9. Also, no clue if 54MP is effective resolution (usually the number advertised) or total. So, it can be but can be not also.



                          Given its weird aspect ratio of 4:2.8, I'm assuming this is a multi-aspect sensor.
