Simple and easy to test it.
Go under Elon Musk tweet and look at the replies of one of the users.
It will show 150 to 200 replies but the actual replied shown by Twitter are are 4 to 5.

I wonder, why so many dumb people want someone to shut down Facebook, Instagram etc. If you don't like them, don't use them, but why do you want to take it from those, who use them?

Few times I've listened to his "brilliant" ideas and I couldn't wrap my head around his idea. Like his "air hockey puck" suspension for Hyperloop and "it's really not that hard" comment. Yeah, hoovercraft like air cushion... in a near vacuum tube. Or just the fact near vacuum in super long solid metal tubes is a dumb idea. To his overpromised stuff like Tesla Cybertruck which is... nowhere to be seen. To Tesla Roadster which has been vaporware for years. To Semi truck that's also nowhere to be seen, not to mention his priorities are so out of whack, like who cares about acceleration of semi truck!? Or the overhyped Tesla Autopilot and thus his overhypd Tesla robo taxis. Don't get me started with Vegas tunnel that's a crawling slow tiny tunnel filled with Teslas driven by humans. Tesla and SpaceX sort of work, but not because Elon is some sort of genius. He's just surrounded by smart people who work behind the scenes and he's vomiting nonsense in front of cameras. SpaceX was hyped as this miracle space transportation service that's nowhere near as economical as they were hyping it, the "Starship" (basically just a really fat rocket) hasn't really taken off yet and his projections for Mars are so far off it's not even funny. We're nowhere near Mars with human crew and he was doing ridiculous Mars cities renders. There is just so many things wrong with this guy and nonsense he vocalizes it's not even funny anymore and I just can't stand it. I can't understand how everyone idolize him after all the nonsense he said so far.

Hate or love Musk, it's just business, for the transition he needs to know what methodology is used and how accurate it is. The problem is that Twitter cannot (or won't) provide much data backing their 5% number apparently.

I think he's simply trolling - pretends to buy Twitter, then does everything in its power to postpone the acquisition. At the same time due to this actions he's lowering the value of Twitter - just for the giggles. I mean, buying it for all-time low price is a nice bonus, but I think his 1st motive is simply trolling.
