Apple unveils M2 chipset with 18% faster CPU, 35% faster GPU compared to the M1

It's built on a more advanced 5nm process, and comes with two extra GPU cores.

That means for the same work 3090 would finish the work 5 times faster consuming the same amount of power as the m1 ultra since it would take more time to complete the work. performance/watt is basically the same.

            RTX 3060 should been the lowest and the cheapest GPU ever.

              If you want gpu with low power consumption buy Mx series. Something like Mx550 depend with configuration use 15W to 25W,

              And if you want even more power Mx570 is comparable to Rtx 2050.

                Honestly, I don't trust any of apple's claims anymore after they lied about M1 ultra beating the rtx3090 in performance and also in performance/watt. Turned out that M1 ultra is 5 times slower in graphical work load compared to the 3090.

                        the data has been obtained using the apple benchmark aka geekbench. Run another benchmark and the apple chip won't even hold a candle against Intel P series or the new amd 6000 series. Heck, I have seen Ryzen 7 5800U scoring above 10000 in cinbench r23 multi-core which the M2 can only dream of and that 5800U is nearly 2 years old at this point. Apple can only win in geekbench due the unified memory since geekbench heavily depends on memory speed and bandwidth not cpu.

                            Why apple is comparing with the U series Intel chip ? That chip only has 2 performance crores and meant for budget laptop. The M2 wouldn't hold a chance against an i7 P series chip. Those chips have far better cinbench r23 scores than even the M1 Max. The price of an windows pc with i7 P series is cheaper compared the new MacBook Air with the M2. Apple had an advantage in 2020 when it announced M1 but now there's no advantage. And btw why they did not compare the performance with the amd 6000 series ? Because obviously it will lose even in energy efficiency ?

Play this game on a similar gen AMD ryzen 5700U / 5800U or newer, and the M1 will perform far worse in comparison.

                                Lol. The new xps 13 plus with i7 1260P destroyed even the MacBook Pro with the M1 Max chip. Looks like this comparison is like that M1 ultra vs 3090 one where M1 ultra was 5 times slower using 5 times less power. Performance/Watt is a joke.

                                    What-ifs and whataboutism don't make much sense here since Samsung never produced a laptop-grade SoC let alone a desktop-grade one to begin with. But even if they did, they would be probably subjected to huge criticism for completely different reasons.

                                      Extrapolating M2's graphics performance from M1's, the performance level of M2 and GTX1650 Ti should be close, although the latter is most likely slightly ahead. Keep in mind that the maximum power consumption of M2's iGPU is 16W according to Apple's chart, whereas even the most power-efficient variant of GTX1650 Ti (Max-Q) has a TGP rated at 35W - M2 is meant to be compared to Intel's mobile Alder Lake as well as AMD's Ryzen 6000 series.

                                        Even if you compare it to a more higher end ultrabook, probably GPU won't be much faster ,but all the rest will cpu-wise, memory-wise....etc
