It's almost like worrying about profit over basic design choices irreparably damage your brand. What a brain dead choice

dear BBK, you want to lift Oppo's brand image, the same image OnePlus have right?
that's not how you do it ffs!
declutter your OS, stop the rebadge engineering shenanigans, remove all your ads, stop your shady secretive data collecting and stop releasing crappy cheap models just for money-grab.

Except the name of One+ everything from OPPO VIVO has made its way into One+. So not a news.
With such small moves, they think we consumers will not notice. But this definitely gives me a feeling that the promise of reverting Oxygen OS as past from Android 13 will be nothing but a false promise.
It's good that I never got One+. Somehow I never trusted the brand since One+1. And then when I came to know that it is connected to OPPO VIVO, I was damn sure not to buy.
My feelings were absolutely correct about the brand.

Bloat filled crapy software, irregular software updates, overheating underperforming processors, underwhelming disappointing cameras, and no alert slider and high prices. Might as well completely kill off the oneplus brand. There nothing phone 1 too to replace it

And this kind of crappy moves are replicated to Realme too. BBK wants to ruin the reputation they made in decades in mere years.

Removing the alert slider, butchering OxygenOS, releasing updates late and reducing value for money. It's like they're deliberately screwing up everything that was appealing about the brand. If it's not deliberate, it shows how incompetent and out of touch they are with customers.
