    Anonymous, 13 Jun 2022No sensor improvement here. Autofocus is easily disabled by... moreSensors don't even have AF. They are incapable of focusing anything. It's the lens's job to do that. Fixed focus has a fixed lens in front of sensor optimized for general distance of length of an arm (because it's a selfie camera). Usually fixed focus only has issues with short distances, but has no issues with "infinite" distance. Benefit is that it's always ready. You can pull out the phone and snap a photo in an instant. Auto focus still needs some time and can often fail to focus properly, resulting in unfocused photo. So it's downsides and also benefits.
